9-2 and currently top 25 in both polls.

I believe Oklahoma will be in the playoff, so I have seen a projection of Georgia vs Texas in the Sugar Bowl.

Without their starting QB are they as good. Not trolling I don’t know anything about them other than their record.

This is as ideal as it can get for our record. After the UF loss it was a done deal that we were going to the bottom shelf. But as far as bottom shelves go, Jacksonsville is pretty close for SC fans and there's at least some real history for the bowl and it's not like Tampa where our fans are surely tired of traveling to.

Gator isn't bottom shelf anyhow. That's a good bowl.

1. Sugar
2. Citrus
3. "Pool of Six" (Outback, Gator, Music City, Texas, Belk, Liberty)
4. Birmingham
5. Independence

Absolutely. I want nothing to do with UCF. Completely lose/lose.

I don't see UCF winning with backup

UGA isn’t going to Sugar Bowl after they beat Bama on Saturday.

I will say this, the introduction of the playoff and the consequence of bowls putting their old names back on bowls instead of just the sponsors for a battle for prestige has been nice to see.

eta: A little factoid for the board - SC played in the very first Gator Bowl.

never mind that UM was exposed as a paper wolverine, and the Sooners got taken to the wire by a service academy in Norman - OSU, as much as I hate them, will draw more eyeballs and dollars than OK

The committee either has to say UM wasn't any good, which would mean that they had them ranked extremely incorrectly for the past month, or they have to say OSU just beat the team we thought belonged in the playoffs last week by 4 possessions.

I think OSU/OU is a real close call, and if both win this weekend it could be a real problem for the playoffs.

Both these programs are as blue blood as it gets in the sport. It isn't the same as Baylor/TCU in 2014 at all.

Florida would probably prefer a different matchup.

Not the first time I've said it, but I wouldn't mind playing them.

Having a chance to beat FSU, UCF and Miami in back to back games is almost too good to be true.

We match up pretty well with UCF anyway.

When UCF has the ball
UCF averages 269 rush ypg/UF allows 169
UCF averages 261 pass ypg/UF allows 175 (but UCF lost their starting QB)

When UF has the ball
UF averages 209 rush ypg/UCF allows 211
UF averages 217 pass ypg/UCF allows 197

UF posted these numbers playing teams in the SEC...UCF playing in the AAC.

I really don't get why people assume teams like UF are "scared" to play UCF...they've scheduled 3 Power 5 teams in the past 2 seasons, and only played 1 (the UNC and Maryland games were both canceled).

It has to bother Buckeye fans that Texas has been propped up as a Top 10 team at 9-3, so when OU beats them the Sooners will get an extra boost.

It doesn't really bother me. How can it. If OSU's loss to Purdue was by 10 we aren't having this debate at all.

If OU beats Texas by 17+, then they should probably go over OSU, unless OSU goes on a 52-10 type win, and then who the hell knows

I really hate OU, but someone explain to me Ohio St being in over Oklahoma.

Ohio State plays average defense. Oklahoma plays zero defense. Oklahoma is #1 on offense. Ohio State is top 10 on offense.

If Ohio State comes out and puts together another impressive game against Northwestern (which means blowing their brains out), I think they are clearly the pick. I still think that once they play a team that can toss the ball around and exploit their defense they are fricked, but they at least have shown the ability to play some defense against some sort of offense.

This would be my reaction if Bama gets to play tOSU after ND upsets Clemson. Meaning Bama would play tOSU and then ND. After completing the most dominating regular season in recent memory.
