An "Average" Jake Bentley and the Gamecocks smoked Clemson and the #1 scoring defense and "#2 Total D for 600 yards, 510 of them in the air. What's Tua going to do to them?

That was so easy... (youtube)

SC came away with no points in two drives where they had it near the goal line.

they also got a big pass play off a bad defensive penalty play.

Didn’t Clemson win by 3 TDs? Kind of a weird thread.

I’m laughing too. We sucked defensively last night. We were exposed the same way Pitt exposed us in 2016 at home (believe we won the Natty that year if I recall). Yet every team -including Bama- has had a poor defensive performance this year. No team can claim a dominant Defense no matter how much SEC fans harp on their conference’s defensive prowess. Bottom line is offenses rule CFB today and a hot QB is virtually unstoppable given today’s PI and targeting rules. We’ll see who’s defense steps up in the playoffs. All it may take is one defensive stop per half to win it this year.

Clemson's DBs are average when they play against a good QB with good WRs. That has shown to be their biggest flaw up to this point. The only other thing I would question is how TL would play against a team with a great defense. So far he hasn't had to play one.
