According to the article, Canada has done pretty well replacing the other guy. I don't know why they wouldn't hire him permanently.

Canada's future, and many others' also, hinges on what happens at OSU. Reading the tea leaves, it looks likely that Urban will exit the Horseshoe in his trademark gurney-style, and OSU will be the top domino in this coach-search frenzy. Whoever takes that job will start a domino effect of people needing to be replaced, and many folks I've heard have Canada on OSU's theoretical short-list, along with Day and whomever else.

I think Locksley goes somewhere.

Which begs the questions, "Why? What do you know?"

EDIT: Emphasis on know, not you.

I know every school is trying to get some crumbs off Saban's table and copy Alabama, but good gosh it sure would be nice to keep a coordinator for 2-3 years every now and then. When will these schools realize the magic isn't some formula, it's Saban himself--and you aint getting Saban!

In the wake of University of Maryland football coach DJ Durkin's brief reinstatement Tuesday, discord over the football program erupted in an altercation between team players.

Matthew Barber, a 21-year-old backup punter, who has spoken out against the culture of the program, says he was assaulted at the end of practice Tuesday by a fellow player who supported Durkin.

Lock should stay put and make his 1.2 mil a year plus for a few years coaching up the best talent in America and looking like a stud. He’s only 48.

Dan Enos has been my dream coordinator for Bama for a while now. I hope if Locks goes we can hold on to DE.

had similar issues as a head coach to the coach they just fired?

In fairness to Locksley, no one disregarded basic health care policy and killed a kid under his watch.

Well, he won't have a job there more than another year or two. It's not like she has a singing career or anything.

Same here. I'd be willing to lose Locks if it means keeping Enos.

If I were there at Maryland, I would look no further than Matt Canada. The guy has done a pretty damn good job as the interim considering the circumstances. The kids believe in him, play hard, and they trust him.

Leave Locks alone!!!! If they were to hire Locksley, I could easily see this being Enos' position next year.

frick Locks.

We are going to lose Super Analyst Butch Jones. He is the one person on staff we cannot lose.

I will melt if we lose him.

What happened with Tee? I was under the impression that he was a pretty great recruiter/coordinator?

Not a very good coordinator...never has been that good of a play caller...and being a head coach requires a whole 'nother skill set. Tee is basically known as being a great recruiter, and that's really about it.
