The truth

The truth is you have a severe lack of self security, leading to a need to pose your irrational opinions as supported fact.

Another truth is football is as much about emotion as Xs and O's. Saban spends a lot of time talking about rat poison, ignoring the praise of his team, maintaining a level of intensity, and manufacturing "disrespect." These are all strategies of emotion.

Your OP is sad, transparent, and born of ignorance. That's all the truth I'll give you today.

Yawn. Your fan base literally had a fan poison trees because he couldn’t handle losing to auburn. That’s about as emotionally stunted as you can get.

Simple answer... I was responding to someone on the message board rather than the OP. You didn't get that? I wonder why? Facts are difficult aren't they? But emotion! Emotion just spurts out without thought, without knowledge and without logic.

So along YOUR line of thinking... your response to me was irrelevant because it didn't have anything to do with the OPs premise. Right?

I hope you will be OK.

So, you will pick out a single lunatic and broadly associate him with an entire fan base?

Well then, everyone in Louisiana could be considered a mass murderer because Danny Harold Rolling was a serial killer from Louisiana.

Yes, I know that's wrong to say and I certainly don't believe it. Well, I live here and I wonder about some people I meet (just kidding... sort of). And, every state has had their share of lunatics.

It's the same with people who participate in online message boards... they certainly don't represent all LSU fans or all Bama fans.

Best of luck in the game on Saturday!

The person you were responding to was responding directly to the OP's contention regarding emotion as it pertains to the state of Louisiana. You responded to him requesting "facts" and interjected with, herp derp we've won 7 in a row, as if that is, in any way, relevant to the topic being discussed by the poster you responded to. Wonder why? Yes, it's because you, as well, cannot bring any facts to support for or against the emotional standing of the state of Louisiana.

Along my line of thinking, I am staying on topic. But if you want to move the goalposts and start arguing an irrelevant counter-point, then by all means continue

I'm not interested in your analysis of me. We're discussing you and your neighbors.

Yes, Saban spends a LOT of time fighting against exactly the thing I'm talking about - being too emotional. LSU is always a talented team but they have huge ups and downs in performance based on their inability to maintain intensity without relying solely on emotion. It's how your coaches coach, and I don't know if it's coincidence, but it's how your fans act.

No, you just aren't staying on topic. I, quite simply, pointed that out to you.

If Saban spends a lot of time fighting against being too emotional, wouldn't it be fair to say it's a problem with Alabama, given he feels the need to address emotion in the first place?

It's a natural response for kids playing a sport, yes, and a lot of our kids come from Louisiana. But, it's not encouraged at Alabama because it doesn't lead to success.

First lie because you will follow with condescending insults.

Serious question.

Second lie. See above.

quote:

It's honestly like talking to tweens. Is it JUST their low football I.Q.?

There have been quite a few threads discussing actual game planning by each team and fans on both sides can't help but turn it into insults or bravado. Acting like it's just LSU is your 3rd lie.

quote:

everyone associated with LSU break down games as though they were a bunch of 13 year old cheerleaders

4th lie. See above.

I haven't spent much time on tSECRant before the last month, but it does appear to be predominantly smack talk. Either find or start the actual "serious" game discussion threads or quit whining.

None of that was on topic. Please start your own thread if you want to discuss something other than the emotional disfunction of all things LSU.

Also, it doesn't seem that anyone here knows any more about it than I do. So, I'm going to finish my lunch and head back to the office.

LOL, Alabama people eat garbage out of sewer drains.

You people grow hair on your knuckles from the age of 4.

You people would sell your daughters to be Nick Saban's concubines and then take the money you made on them and contribute it to Tide Pride to move 4 spots up the waiting list.

You people could use some more emotion and some less meth

Well see. That's a girl, and girls tend to get real emotional, like the LSU fans on this board. That bolsters the point.
