Even though LSU will get boat raced by Bama it is still a good year.

They are gonna finish no worse than 9-3 and most likely will finish at 10-2. Win the bowl and 11-2 looks good in O's second year. Some nice wins in there and ran the offense without an elite 5 star running back. Have a lot returning next year and should bring in a great freshman class plus get Chaisson back. If I were a tiger fan I would be ok with those results and would expect even more next year. Coach Orgeron has dominated expectations from this team. Nobody expected a potential 11 win season.

So how bad does one lose by in order to be deemed "boat raced". Just putting you on record here.

1) Save it till it happens. 2) I see you’re already trying to make your one relevant game as impressive as possible because of your weak arse schedule.

I’d be happy with those results. I don’t believe we get “boat raced” by bama, though.

If Bama boat races LSU then they’ll boat race everyone. If 2 All American DBs and that defend ejn Death Valley af night can’t slow them down then no one will.

I don’t think it’ll happen but if it does you just tip your cap and move on. Tuas special, soon we’ll find out how special.

Anyone saying they honestly predicted he’d be a coach of the year candidate would be lying.

Maybe.
I remember in 1997 an undefeated Florida team, averaging 49+ PPG came into a raucous Tiger Stadium and lost. They were thought to be invincible- defending national champs, 27 consecutive SEC wins and the undisputed king of college football. Corso said on Gameday something like "LSU's only chance was if a hurricane came to Baton Rouge."
The football is shaped oddly and bounces in unpredictable ways.

That's why they the play the game.

9-3, yawn. After Bama wins another title and fans think of 2018, it will be known as the year that Bama fielded the greatest team ever and ignorant LSU fans proclaimed their Bama butthurt to the world via billboards.

Arkansas, Arkansas State, Louisville, Tennessee, Missouri, ULL. That's your schedule. No doubt Alabama is good, but the schedule is soft and we don't know their flaws yet. You know why LSU has flaws? They played three top 10 teams and five ranked ones.

LSU has a slight chance but Bama will most likely win. If LSU pulls it this becomes a storybook season, but if not OP makes a valid point. This is already a very successful one and the program seems to be in a good position moving forward.

I think the game will be a little closer, but agree Tua is special and it's a tall task to beat a Saban team w that guy under center- although crazier things have happened and that atmosphere will be a factor. That and what may be the best secondary in the nation.

I tried to have no expectations for O. Like the average fan I wanted the splashy hire, but once O was given the job I figured may as well see what the guy does. I think he really needed success this year to lead into what he does best- the recruiting trail. He has done many things to make the program more exciting to 18 year old kids and as long as he proves he can win I think his ceiling may be higher than anyone expected.

Y’all may win but you won’t boat race this team. Yalls strength is passing. Ours is pass defense. Bama, if they win, will only win by 10pts.

But I think LSU wins by 2-3pts.
