This is not good news.
Georgia football coach Kirby Smart said tailback D’Andre Swift will return to practice on Monday after missing much of last week with a sprained ankle.
“Swift is fine, he should be practicing today,” Smart said at his Monday press conference in Butts-Mehre Heritage Hall. “(Swift) got a lot of rehab last week.”
Smart said offensive guard Ben Cleveland (leg) will still be out, as well as run-stopping defensive end David Marshall (foot).
Inside linebacker Monty Rice (knee) is another player Smart hopes has benefited from the bye week.
“Monty is still trying to get back to Monty with his knee,” Smart said. “He’d lost a step.”
Smart said last week that left tackle Andrew Thomas has yet to completely heal from the ankle injury he injured at South Carolina and has aggravated twice.
The Bulldogs were missing three defensive linemen in the 36-16 loss at LSU on Saturday, Marshall and nose guards DaQuan Hawkins-Muckle and Devonte Wyatt.
Wyatt returned to practice last week.
Georgia football defensive back Divaad Wilson (knee) has not yet been cleared for contact and continues to progress, Smart said.

I mean, it's basically status quo and nothing has really changed. Were you hoping to have Cleveland and Thomas back or something?

Definitely no on Cleveland. But was hoping Monty would be up to par. They need to let Thomas heal completely.

It's good to get Wyatt back along with Hawkins (maybe)
I was unaware about the sprained ankle for Swift good to hear he's gonna be healthy.
Back from what? Obviously has the ankle deal but he's expected to start/play.

This. We didn't get any amazingly positive news, but certainly nothing worse than expected it would seem.

Time to let the young 5 stars play more IMO.

Hasn't Cox been playing a good bit? He seems to have been struggling with contain, etc which is understandable as a freshman. But I feel like I've seen him out there a lot.

Injuries typically pile up this time of year. We were very fortunate last season.
Check, check, check. Beasts in waiting. Our 2nd string may be better than our first string at LB. Hope Rice gets healed, he's a key.

Hopefully the defensive lineman can get back. Also, what about Quay Walker? How much has he played?

Sure if they can help us win but if they can't there's no reasom.Anderson got smoked by Burrow on his long run.

My bad,I knew it was a freshman and thought it was Anderson

I think the main issue with Anderson is that his body isn’t quite ready yet. I don’t know anything, but that would be my guess. I remember comments from early in camp that he just didn’t look as ready as some of the others physically and how Cox just already looked the part.

We're talking about Burrow's long run and Cox took the fake on the read option.
Posted on 10/23/18 at 1:08 pm to RD Dawg
Yeah both Cox and Lecounte had a bad play on that one.

Cox outright misplayed it. Lecounte bit on the juke/mini cut from Burrow. It was not his finest moment, but it never should have happened if Cox doesn't blow his assignment.

But dam, do you see Rochester trucking down the field.
