Former MSU quarterback John Bond said over the years the only place he played where Coach Emory Bellard told the players to keep their helmets on was LSU. Damn shame those people can't be behaved.

No. We have moved up to throwing shot glasses.

in fairness I got hit by a glass Jim Beam bottle in the back of the head at a state game. It was the 1999 eggbowl. No doubt the fackers left early and didn't see the end of one of the greatest comebacks in university history. I'm sure they'll tell the story to their kids that they were there and saw it tho.

An LSU band member got hit on the head with a thrown whiskey bottle at an Ole Miss game in Jackson some time in the early 70’s. LSU would not bring their band to an away game with Ole Miss for some time after that. At least that was the story I heard from a band member back then.

LSU and BR are the absolute worst place to visit if you are the visiting team.
We had some friends go this past weekend who were UGA fans (for the first time). They said it was awful and that had nothing to do with them losing the game.
It started when they were charged 10 extra dollars for parking just because they were Georgia fans and then went downhill from there.
As a State fan I have been there several times but don’t care to ever go back there for a game.
In general, that fan base is the pits.
