Fathom this; he won't be fired but he'll HAVE to fire probably Longo and for sure McGriff at season end and that's just after we lose the Egg Bowl.

Then, he'll have to hire two complete duds to fill those spots who, if they are completely insane/desperate will take that job, knowing, they're going to be canned at the end of 2019 because after we lose the Egg Bowl again, NOBODY will be able to stand it anymore and the new coach will fire the entire staff out of a cannon and replace them with his own.

That is still absolutely insane for a former underwhelming OL coach. His contract should have been the exact same as Hugh Christ's first deal. You get $750K base and then $150K or whatever for each win. The buyout should have been double of what he made in the firing year. I don't even need to address McGriff.

We fk'ed ourselves for 3+ years because we felt real good about getting lucky and beating State last year.

Each passing week I feel less and less sure this will happen. At least McGriff has the built in excuse of having no talent to work with. He’s about to have a freshman running back at safety. I actually thought the defense played decently hard against LSU. Penalties and idiotic coaching negated all the stops we made, but that’s a different problem.

Longo on the other hand has a seasoned O Line, solid QB, stacked WR room, and a really solid running back and even a top tier TE. Every position is really solid. He has managed 2 TDs against SEC opponents. What a joke. His whole “take what the defense gives you” game plan is apparently pretty easy to scheme against. Saban even talked shite about it after the game this year.

I've been saying this all along. The defense is terrible but the offense hasn't helped the defense at all. The two schemes are the complete opposites. The quick struck TDs might quite possibly be the worst thing for a defense lacking depth.

There are 3 first round players and 7 or 8 NFL players on offense and we still are only big play or bust.
