Steve Wilfong puts in a CB to UGA

Talking to several sources with knowledge of the recruitment of five-star Clay Webb, it's hard not to feel good about Georgia's chance to land the Oxford (Ala.) High standout. Ranked by the industry-generated 247Sports Composite as the nation's No. 1 center, the buzz I'm hearing is pro Bulldogs as of this date. Obviously you still have Alabama, Auburn and Clemson in the picture. One source believes it's Georgia or Alabama. The Crimson Tide hold the majority of the 247Sports Crystal Ball forecasts. I flipped mine to Georgia as I believe that's the current pulse. There are pulls to Athens where Webb's mother has family. I believed this one was all Alabama early. At the very least it's gotten interesting. Webb isn't expected to decide until the very end of the process.

It was always going to be a battle with his family ties to UGA. Hopefully we can get him in on another visit and an official. Regardless of what he does Bama’s OL class will be top notch.

Yeah and I still don't feel as strong about Webb as some others do. I do believe it's between UGA and Bama but no way do I feel confident on him.

Tell me how a change in a kids perceived landing spot is less recruiting news that a tweet by a recruit. I'll wait on your response since it might take awhile from the brain cancer you apparently are suffering from.

Wilfong’s original CB was to Bama.
Wilfong is one of the more accurate predictors.

I have no personal inside knowledge but did go to high school with Webb’s Mom in Douglasville, Ga. As Wilfong puts in his info, more family ties in Georgia than Alabama. The knee- jerk thought is a kid that lives in Alabama won’t get out of state - but Webb’s not your average Alabama high school kid with deep ties to the state.
