I know we last wore them against some no name Sun Belt team a couple years ago, but we haven't seen them since minus G-Day. IF we do wear them again I hope we don't waste them on UMass. Personally I would to black out Auburn again or even Tech if we're 11-0 by that time

I’d love to black out Tech. Easier win, “big name” opponent still, but I don’t wanna inflate their egos by making them think we care.

I know this board is split on the idea, but I loved the Kentucky black out even if we didn't have the black jerseys. Just feels like a better atmosphere then a regular game.

Also we would need Tech to be a night game for a proper blackout. Seems we’ve been stuck in noon purgatory with them for a few years now.

Maybe we can work it out since we didn't have a night game last week. Also the Tech game sounds better since that Auburn game is almost guaranteed to be a 3:30 game. Also I'm going to be in Alaska during the Auburn game

I kind of like mixing it up with the uniforms a bit since the players apparently like it. But I don't think it should ever be used as a motivational gimmick like Richt did with the Alabama debacle.
Best for a game that's a fairly certain win...if the team wants to do it.

Richt needed the extra gear that the black jerseys added because he was piss poor at genuinely motivating/preparing the players for big games. They should be a standard fixture for Senior Day, no matter the opponent.

Sorta sick of seeing us dress up every recruit that shows up for a visit in the black and we never wear them for a game day

I don't know, but we need to use them. No point in having them and waving them around all offseason and then never wearing them.
I hate it that the 2017 team never got to wear them. Thought a team that great should've gotten a blackout game at some point.

We don't need them to make us better and they will not make us worse. I don't believe in superstitions. With that said they do add to the atmosphere for the fans. If the players want them, give them black uniforms. I don't care who it's against.

I want to see us wear a distress chrome helmet with a red sripe and the old English G we used to use for Baseball. Need to do it at our biggest recruiting event of the year, my guess would be the UT game or Auburn. Just think it would be cool and recruits would eat it up, don't care if we wear black or not.
Watching the Fran Tarkenton outside the lines, I thought the silver helmets were cool.

That's the problem - There's such a small sample size that folks get freaked out over what was the intersection of a rare event (Sanford Black Out) and what was being established as a regular occurrence (CMR not having the team prepared for a big game) and instead of correctly assigning blame to the HC who didn't have his team ready to go, folks like to shite on the jerseys because they can't think.
Make it a fixture of our home games and folks will be forced to STFU in the fullness of time.

Later in the year to avoid the heat. Night game if available. SEC game or other meaningful game (Tech, ND, Clemson type games). This year I would pick Tennessee. Should be an easy win against a team the fans love to beat. Next year, either Missouri or A&M.

Auburn could actually be a night game.
Alabama/Miss State is also that day, and could take the 3:30 spot. That might determine the West.
Auburn will most likely have a few losses by our game.

Can’t ever get that Alabama game out of my mind. Those Blacks are hard for me to watch.

If the black jerseys are a sell for recruits, we should use them once a season, IMO.
