I'm in my 30s so I'm too young to remember the days of winning.

#11 for csu tore us up 2nd half. I think eiu had a receiver that did well also. We had no answer for #11

bullshite. fricking lame.

Winning programs make petty bullshite like that go away, and have done so for decades.

The least he could have done was not hire a coach with a polar opposite philosophy

We are unsure of whether we can beat North Texas. Embarrassing to think that we actually may lose. Frick you Bert and your lackadaisical coaching and recruiting. You and your bottle of Tito’s have singlehandedly made us a laughing stock.

Bert outrecruited fricking Colorado State. The general state of the program compared to our SEC competition is his fault, but that loss last week was on the other shitty coach we hired.

Obviously not. They had better players at multiple key positions. If you think any QB on our roster was better than their starter, you're delusional. Star ratings don't mean anything if they don't live up to it. Colorado State very clearly had advantages on the field.

in some places.. yes, but not enough to go from 27-9 to a loss in the amount of time we did, without some coaching frickery…

THE Colorado State player that kicked our arse wasn't recruited by Colorado State, he transferred in from Tennessee. The big receiver, Williams. We simply had no answer for him.

When the better QB is on the other team, this is always a possibility in college.

I just don't understand blaming the coaching. The QB running our offense for the majority of the game has football IQ so high he looked to pass the ball after receiving a lateral 5 yards beyond the line of scrimmage. You can coach your head off but you can't fix stupid.

I agree. The title of the thread is "Is this what we have come to?". I was answering that question. Our program has fallen back so much that we no longer compete. That is what we have come to. It is bullshite.

Also - Calm down

So you mean to tell me, someone that posts on an Arkansas sports board is a hog fan?

JK dude, I don't know you so my statement "anyone I know" obviously doesn't apply to everyone. There was no implication they don't exist, the implication was that they are becoming scarce.

The QB was a 4* QB and the WR was a 5* and #3 WR in his class on 247.

They weren't good enough to stick with their original programs.

They weren't good enough to hang with perennial powerhouse Hawaii.

Here's some ignorance -

You're equating the grad-transfer of a Washington BACKUP going to Colorado State....

to Russell Wilson.

Seems legit and hot take-ish.

Wilson was going to be a backup at NC State

Didn’t you say

Wilson transferred because he wasn’t going to start for NC State. Therefore he “wasn’t good enough to stick with his original program.”

I’m not the one judging a player because he chose to transfer. I’m playing by your rules.

What? He was a multi year starter there and an all ACC QB. He holds some of their program's passing records. Stop equating him to CSU's QB.

Where have I “equated” him to Wilson, other than the fact that they both transferred. The point is that just because a Player transfers, it doesn’t mean he’s some kind of scrub.

Russell Wilson was not going to start for NC State in 2011. That is a fact.

Russell Wilson's transfer from NC State to Wisconsin came after coach Tom O'Brien chose to go with Mike Glennon over Wilson ...

Yea because there was a rift between him and the coach over his pursuing baseball, not because he wasn't good.

ETA: Joe Burrow would help you make your point. He never started at OSU, kept getting beat out by freshman, transferred to LSU, and looks pretty good so far.
