Looks like the world got introduced to the atrocity that is a Beth Mowins commentated football game tonight(MNF) Went over about as well as one would expect.

I'm not impressed by her at all. Some things just don't need a "woman's touch" and announcing football games is one of them in my opinion.
I actually switched channels and listened to the Spanish broadcast for a bit and those two guys sure have a passion for the game, even though I barely understood what they were going on about, they were doing so with exuberance.
This Mowins gal sounds like you're typical female high school softball coach.

I could care less if she's male, female, or has revolving sex organs that change depending on the outside temperature. She's just not a big time announcer. Beth Mowins does an alright enough job on 6th rate Big 10 matchups but she just doesn't have that IT factor to be a big time announcer.
And I've listened to her call quite a few more sports then just football. She's serviceable in those sports as well.
In pro wrestling terms she'd be a "good hand". You can use her anywhere on the card... as long as it isn't higher then the mid-card. She is not your main event talent.

I've gotten to where I watch NFL rarely. With Beth Mowins doing the announcing, this guarantees I will watch zeroly.

She's not any worse than 95% of the other commentators out there.

Could you imagine a game done by her and Rod Gilmore? They could make the prisoners at Gitmo watch as a form of interrogation/torture.

She announced our first game this year. Voice as irritating as a lawn mower in a gravel pit. Worst I ever heard and it ain’t even close.

Doris Burke is actually awesome.
Probably knows more than a lot of guys that do NBA games.
