Damn CG I was just kidding with you and everyone joking about this being a psycho storm. I still haven't seen it making a turn and hitting Georgia like your link showed but it did turn south and now has Columbia in sights. Don't be so sensitive please it was not meant to be personal against you. Personally I hope you're right and it does slide down to Georgia. Again CG I do apologize and I didn't mean for it to upset you. I appreciate the info you have given. If it makes everyone feel better it looks like I'm going to lose a house here in Cherry Grove and damage to my house in Columbia. Hell I might not even make it here in Cherry Grove.

The orange spaghetti strings are the Euro models which tend to track tropical weather more accurately, while the other models tend to track blizzards and severe weather more accurately.

Those are the Euro models to which CG was referring. Those orange strings have been there for at least 24 hours, although this particular screenshot is from this morning... and now all the other models are starting to catch up with the Euros as you can see.

You can follow more at spaghettimodels dot com.

I'll show myself out now.

They look all over the place. Never seen a hurricane do this. I'm still sticking with Jim Handy of wltx. He has proven to be the most reliable. Thank you for posting that. I'm thinking I should pack up n leave.

This storm is bi polar.

I would say less than 10% chance the game is played in Columbia on Saturday.

Think about it like a football play.

Those two High pressure circles are going to keep Florence from trying to go north, and the other tropical low in the Gulf moving into Mexico (based on this morning's models) will work together to push/pull Florence more South.

But you go on believing in Jack Handy. His assistant will show this to him soon, and by the time he reads it on air, it will be too late, that's when everyone will panic. You should try to stay a few hours ahead of the game.

His maps are showing the southern turn also just not as drastic as the euro. So basically there are pressure systems playing tug of war with a 400+ mile wide killer storm.

Just understand this-

In the winter, when models are predicting snowfall and ice storms, and there's always they wacky model that says Atlanta is going to get 9 feet of snow, so they throw that model out? That's the Euro. It is horrible at predicting that type of weather.

When it comes to tropical weather, however, it is dead arse accurate. It's really the only computer model that you should even look at.

Take that for what it is worth.

Thanks, Rig. You explained it much better than I could have. The Euro is the one I always watch. And when the GFS starts trending with it? Definite trouble. Oh..and some Waffle Houses are closing. When Waffle Houses close you know shite's about to get real.

Good call on the southern turn!

I woke up this morning and caught the update. Wife just call from Lexington WalMart and said it looks like a scene from World War Z.

The latest Euro a few minutes ago just doubled-down on the Southern turn and has it going even further down.

All GA coastal counties just put under state of Emergency.

Good graphic by Brad Nitz (ATL TV Met)

I added the arrows.

The High over ATL will be moving East, the hurricane will move around it, and up the back side of it, which will take it up through CSRA or ATL area as that High moves East.

NC coast gets smacked.

SC coast gets smacked.

GA coast gets smacked.

Cat1 damage up through major metro area. Bad shite.

One of the earlier model solutions actually had it coming ashore in Savannah. This gal wants to destroy as much as she can in one trip. Nothing surprises me with her at this point. She's definitely an alpha female.

It was the wise thing to do. Unfortunately they are playing Florida Atlantic on our off week. Rumors are swirling about still getting a 12th game in with either WV or VT since they both cancelled their games and both have the same open week as us.

I don't want any of WV's offense or any of VT's defense.

Having playing 10 games in a row will suck.
