Steve Spurrier catches a lot of flak on here for quitting on USC, but how come nobody says anything about Jimbo hightailing it out of Tallahassee?
This chicken shite bastard quit on those kids when things got tough, and got a crazy salary at A&M for it.

Jimbo quit during the middle of the season? Spurrier is a fricking coward, Jimbo just left for a better opportunity.

Pretty much the only coach in the SEC that hasn't quit on kids at some point is Coach O, who never seems to leave on his accord.

Anyone in the state of Florida saw the FSU fall. Heard constant rumors and boosters seemed to know it was coming for awhile. Jimbo and Meyer had the same issue. They recruited talent, but not character. Jimbo absolutely lost control, and that last year he had given up. He stopped caring and it was clear. Yes Spurrier left. But Spurrier left to save the year claiming he was hurting the team. Jimbo stayed then left in them high and dry with a destroyed locker room. Only Aggies would delude themselves to thinking Jimbo did right by FSU. He didn't.

Actually I believe when Coach O was not selected to be the head coach at USC after being the interim, he was offered to stay on staff in some capacity but he bailed.

Spurrier quit mod season after a humiliating and long overdue loss to the Dawgs. Jumbo left for a different opportunity. Time will tell if it is better or not.

Based on reports the staff had completely stopped recruiting too.

There’s a long history of FSU and it’s administrators doing zero to help the athletic program, also a long history of Jimbo expressing his frustration over that

Jimbo went 7-6 his last year with an easy schedule and got beat down by sub par ACC teams by over 20 points. Tagg sucks. He will further destroy FSU. He is at best Zook. Good recruiter but bad all around coach.

You can't blame the Old Ball Sack for wanting to get out of that ghetto. Especially when he knew what Dabo was creating up in Clemson. Jimbo just figured that if he was going to get destroyed by Dabo anyway, he might as well get a pay raise to do it.

Jimbo waited till the end of the season and got paid more.
Spurrier did it in the middle of a season that we ended 3-9
I don't mind what Jimbo did, what Spurrier did still doesn't sit with me.

Jimbo actually tried to finish out the year. FSU got mad and didn't let him. Jimbo kept quiet until the deal was completed. Its not his fault it leaked.
