mid 90s. freshman year at Clemson was 1996. i didn't follow Clemson or any college football team prior to attending Clemson.
when I was at Clemson, Clemson had a 3-8 football team and a basketball team that was ranked as high as no. 2 in the country. lol
the good ol days.

It was Thomas Clemson's house, prior to that John C Calhoun who went to Yale.

i got confused on their stadium name. i forget clemson's stadium name a lot too.

they have a dorm named after Wade Hampton who had the Redshirts intimidate black voters from voting for the Republican candidate which allowed him squeak out a narrow election win.
they also have a newish fitness center named after Strom Thurmond a segregationist.
that's why they never mention the Strom Thurmond library at Clemson. lol
i was reading somewhere that both Oregon and Oregon State had named buildings after KKK types. So you can't escape this kind of thing even outside of the south.
