there's no evidence that he actually killed them. he did brag about it but could have been pandering to racists.
i'm all for banning the use of Tillman and his political party's name, the Democratic Party.
Most of the people who complain about the Tillman name don't complain about his party's name still being used. that is hypocritical.

why should a person who never attended an Alabama game and has no desire to attend one be familiar with the name of Bama's stadium.
i generally don't watch Bama games.

So he either killed them or he went around bragging about killing free Americans but it was a lie to try and make himself look good . I can definitely see why the school would change the name of a iconic building to honor him.

It's something football fans naturally pick up after years of watching games. Something you obviously know nothing about. For example, I don't give a shite about Clemson but I still know what Howard's Rock is.

i rarely watch pre-game stuff.
i didn't even know LSU keeps a live tiger on campus until recently. that seems like they getting carried away. lol

no i often see at least some of the bigger matchups every week.
i watched part of Auburn-Wash and part of ND-Michigan
i wanted to see the end of PSU and App State but only big 10 network had it.
i do know about other team traditions like auburn rolling trees, war eagle etc.
