I like Lane there as well. I think he could reenergize Tiger Nation & Football Team. This hire would put fear into Auburn & Alabama. They will disagree, but we all know it.

No reason why LSU can’t land a top 10 coach.
I could see Bob Stoops going for it to prove he is an equal coach to Saban.

LSUs' administration always listens to the fans. Bertman didn't but the current regime does. They will hire Kiffin because the school wants to please the fans.They will regret that move immensely.
When LSU hired Saban they hired a disciplined, hard arse, successful coach that raised eyebrows. We all knew they had hit the jackpot.
If they want to replicate that they go after David Shaw. Period, end of story. Defense, run the ball, physical coach. Arnsparger, Saban, Miles style of play. LSU has great skill players. When they combine that with a coach that compliments that with defense, great line play and running the ball, they are pretty good.

It would make me a little nervous, but fear? We have Nick fricking Saban. When Nick is through, we would just hire Lane if we wanted to.

Yeah I agree. If Lane was successful at Lsu and got the call from Bama, he would jump on it, no question. No real comparison between the two.

I can see lane getting LSU back up to 10-11 wins. He will put pressure on the coaches. I guess fear was a little over, but I don't see this good for Auburn, Alabama and A&M. This will hurt Florida too. I mean the dude has ties everywhere now. Very scary to see him at a sleeping giant.
