Meh. It was pretty cool but Its a old outdated stadium that is not really good for watching games.

frick that place

Yeah, I was pretty unimpressed with the Rose Bowl. The view of the mountains and the sunset is fantastic, but it's a pretty terrible stadium to watch a game in. Pasadena is also a royal PITA to get to and from the stadium and park.

I'd have much rather seen us schedule a home and home with Arizona or Arizona State than UCLA.

No concession or bathrooms in the stadium. Parking on a golf course was dumb and impossible to get out of.

Mountains were cool. I’m glad I did it but won’t go back.

I went as well for the championship and it was a blast but the seating sucks. It’s a cool place to see once

well hush my mouth by the time the UCLA series rolls around i'll be in my mid-late thirties so I guess i'll officially be in the old farts club by then

for those wondering I turn 27 this December and I did a little math this morning to determine how old i'll be by the time both series kick off

ill be 34 when we get to the Baylor series. and 36 when we get to the UCLA series.

I'm with you. The only benefit to me is my sister lives on the ridge above the Rose Bowl, so it's a 5 min walk to the stadium. The Rose Bowl is over rated. Glad I went, might go back if the sis is still living there.

These are good games for Auburn. We have never played UCLA. Anyone that did not make the NC game should 100% go. Its an iconic stadium.

Baylor is OK, nothing great. Helps with recruiting Texas Boys.

My wife will probable make me go visit Magnolia Homes next year when we play Arkie.

Assuming you live in Alabama... do you not realize how out of route Waco is from Fayetteville? 426 miles southwest of Fayetteville or a 7 hour drive. That’s like saying you’re going to visit Jackson, MS while you’re vacationing in Nashville, TN

Auburn's scheduled Power 5 OOC games:

2018: Washington (ATL)

2019: Oregon (Arlington)

2020: North Carolina (ATL)

2021: Penn State (State College)

2022: Penn State (AU)

2023: Cal (Berkeley)

2024: Cal (AU)

2025: Baylor (Waco)

2026: Baylor (AU)

2027: UCLA (Pasadena)

2028: UCLA (AU)

I am gonna give my opinion on these choices and I am sure I will be labeled nega but I've been there before

Why are we scheduling Baylor for a home and home 8 years in the future? Its not like we should scrambling to find someone to play this far in advance. I would think we could scheduled a better, more recognizable, program 8 years ahead. Does anyone really care if we play the Baylor Bears?

I like the games against the Pac12 but two series all the way to the west coast could really hurt fan support. Its not like people can make the drive. I would have loved it if they would have just did one of these series.

Love the Penn State selection and I look forward to going to a game up there. Certainly will be first in line to buy tickets

I know people don't like the Oregon game because its a neutral field but Im looking forward to that one. I have never been to Jerry World so we will make that trip.

UNC? Whatever.. Don't care

With our recent success and fan support, we should be able to get a home and home with most any team. Love to change one of the west coast trips to Michigan or Ohio St or even Oklahoma State.

A national title run is crazy backloaded with our SEC slate. I just don’t see the value in adding another SEC caliber OOC game early.

In theory, ignoring the rest of our SEC slate, we could finish a natty run against Georgia, Alabama, Georgia (SECCG), Penn State (playoff), Oklahoma (natty game) just to win it all. I just don’t see value in adding Ohio State into that mix. At some point you’re just shooting your self in the foot by loading in perrenial title contenders to an already brutal schedule

If Auburn is a 1 loss team going into the DSOR, we should be a CFP lock with wins v UGA, Bama, SECCG to end the season.

I love good OOC games, but as Jones pointed out, there is no real value other than for viewership

Baylor and UNC are exactly the type of games I want to play. We will probably win and it's unlikely we'll get too much shite for scheduling.

I still want to get Michigan and ND and the like, but the truth is it makes way more sense for them to lose to Georgia or Alabama than to Auburn. And they probably have their choice of everyone.

The teams I don't want to play are teams like Oklahoma State, who could beat us, and who if we win we won't get very much credit for beating.

In short, I want huge schools (ND, Michigan, OSU, Oregon, Penn State) or I want well known, good brand schools with projected mediocre football programs (UNC, UVA, Baylor, etc.)
