Unfortunately, this state is being overrun by Yankees, who do nothing but complain about how the South isn't like the places they left up North.

This pisses me off as well.

But what I’ve realized/noticed is a good amount of them aren’t here by choice.
They either couldn’t cut it up here or their company deployed them to South because they weren’t worth paying them salaries up here.

Per KSG there is a big difference between Yankees and people from Ohio.
I kinda see it.
One group are pasty and slow.
The other are loud, too fast and psychopaths

Sherman troops didnt actually burn all of Columbia. As the north was approaching the city moved out all the cotton from the mills in to the streets to try to get it out of town but they were too late. The fires that did start (there were only a few) spread to the cotton and then the whole city lit up. You should read more history.

I live in Louisiana. Have my entire life. But im not ashamed AT ALL of what Louisiana did then or at any time in the past. My parents arent from the south. Their parents arent from the south. And I'm sure I could go on and on. So I should have some white guilt because I happened to be born in a state that did some messed up shite that I had nothing to do with?

Yeah miss me with that shite

I wouldn’t be surprised if this was the response from the majority of Southerners. It seemed unique that South Carolinians are ashamed of their state.

This couldn't be further from the truth. Drive through the Palmetto State and everything is decorated with our state flag and emblem. Take any kind of government tour or museum tour in America today and you'll get the same thing. The average South Carolina is probably more proud of our role in American history than your average citizen from other states.

Its debatable whether Sherman burned Columbia to the ground or the confederates burned their om city to prevent the union of any valuable resources

Your State House tour says otherwise.
