One last gripe from me about Saban sticking with Hurts all year last season. Long.

Lost in all of the negatives of his bad decision regarding Tua is the effect of recruiting. Saban essentially helped Georgia sign that epic class last year and helped them get off to a better start this year. And of course it hurt our recruiting last class as well. Now before I go any further I realize that losing coaches every year hurt our recruiting too but we always have a high turnover because everyone wants a Saban coached coach but it never hurt us as bad as it did last year.

Had Saban split reps with Hurts early in the season then Tua would have won the team and become the starter by the Texas A&M game. We would have gone undefeated and beat the brakes off of Georgia in the SEC championship game eliminating them from the playoffs altogether. Now I realize that Georgia is easy to recruit to and would have signed a top 2 class anyway but we lost a couple of badly needed guys to them that would have signed with us because Kirby would have had less to sell. They may have lost one of two others to other schools as well. It is my opinion that their SEC title and strong playoff performance gave them the edge they needed to pull it off.

Now what's done is done and though it looks like I am crying over it I am not. I am just showing you guys the big picture. I know I am right just like I knew I was right telling you about Hurts last September when you called me stupid for suggesting Hurts wasn't s good quarterback.

We lost Justin Ross who was 6-4 receiver with speed because of it. He can't fix the damage from last year and if he finishes like I think we will our recruiting class will rival the one they signed last year or possibly be even better. I know most of you won't see the logic of what I am saying because of your crimson colored glasses that made you think so highly of Jalen despite poor performance right in front of your eyes.

Lastly, I know I am truly a pessimist to the extreme but I am also a positive thinker as well. I am pumped for the season and barring defensive injuries we are gonna frick the SEC. I would just like to remind you that when you down vote this post that you are down voting the post not the poster. When you disagree with my thoughts try to remember to attack the post and not the poster. I love the Bama program as much or more than any of you and have been a Tide Pride donor with two tickets for thirteen years. We are brothers in crimson and there are real people behind these keyboards with real feelings. Let's not attack posters because you don't like what they say. Salsa puts up with it but will ban you for speaking the truth about poor quarterback play.

Let the down votes commence.

Kirby is going to have UGA in the top 5 every year. Accept it now and avoid the rush later.

Lets hope #13 does improve going forward. We all hoped that #2 would have done the same but it APPEARS he is maxed out.

I agree with you that Bama goes 15-0 with Tua at QB last year. Ross likely commits to Bama after see Tua and his great passing ability.

Auburn might have a new coach now and Georgia wouldn't have made the playoffs. Bama would have won a 4th straight SEC Title and 4th straight Iron Bowl.

There were several younger players that should have started over older players that started last year. Foster, Sims, Jones, Womack, Cotton, Scarbrough and Hurts all started even though there were much better players behind them. Those players finally got their chance in the NCG and brought home a title.

If we eliminate UGA in the SECC, there is no guarantee we beat OSU and OU in the playoffs. Both programs gave us rather convincing losses the last times we met.

I’ll take a title in hand and a top 5 recruiting class over a #1 recruiting class and the uncertainty of playing the top 2 offenses in the country.

This type of fan is the worst type of fan, to me. Alabama was the National Champions last year. They also lost 5,365 starting LBs during the season and the lack of defensive depth caught up to them at the end of the year. Hurts really struggled down the stretch but Saban felt either A, Hurts deserved the chance to work out of it, or B, Tua wasn’t quite ready, yet. Saban made the change when he absolutely had to and it payed off.

Let it fricking go and look forward

I knew that Jalen wasn't a good quarterback two years ago. I posted something about it and all I got was talk of how stupid I was. I saw him overthrow the tight end on a wide freakin' open throwback pass against Ole Miss. That was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. A bunch of people tried to tell me that the tight end quit on the play. In that situation the quarterback ALWAYS throws the ball directly to the wide open receiver. He doesn't lead him. Hurts was painful to watch most of the time. Especially when he would get the yips. Two years ago against Clemson he couldn't even throw a pass to a guy 5 yards away in the backfield without drilling the ball into the dirt. I am being 100% literal.

Holy moly everyone relax. Season is almost here, let’s get onto that.

I know I literally am the last person who would ever defend CD but, let’s take it easy if possible.

I’ve realized it has become second nature to downvote you because you are so often full of shite and are a perpetual chicken little. I suspect I’m not alone in my assessment of your posts. We are in the midst of the greatest run in college sports since John Wooden at UCLA. Yes, even greater than anything Paul Bryant accomplished. Yet you will look back one day and realize you didn’t enjoy any of it. You epitomize the stereotypical Bama fan that other fan bases loathe. Go away.
