3 year extension for Holly should be just enough time to finish burying the program.

Cocks and State are the new overlords, who predicted that 10 years ago?

No program has an inherent advantage to being a power in women's bball, even UCONN. It's revenue sport in very few places to begin with. Pat was the perfect storm for UT, something that Auburn could never get over the hump for oddly enough. I've seen coaches win an NC at one school (ND) and fail at another (UF).

It's their most successful sports program. There is just more competition now that Pat is gone.

If Alabama is beating you in women's basketball, then I would say yes.

Bama's Kristy Curry has been the epitome of a slow, but steady build. Her classes have been gradually better and better too, but just slow enough that really no one notices.
Like, last year was a bit of a let down if you followed the program closely. The amount of returners from a decent WNIT run and one of our better freshman classes should have seen us on the NCAA tournament bubble and we were before buckling under the last half of our SEC schedule.
I don't think the break through year is even here quite yet, but I'd keep an eye on them.

They can’t. It’s their last hope

I’d argue there is less. Women’s basketball has less parity than any college sport. When was the last time the national champion wasn’t a 1 seed?

After the total lack of participation in this thread, I'm beginning to wonder if they even know they have a women's team.

It’s a women’s basketball thread in August
How much participation were you expecting?

Who gives a flying frick? Women’s basketball is not even a freaking sport.

Mississippi State gets that championship this year.

I would hope that every self-respecting program has given up on women’s basketball.

It doesn't even turn a profit at South Carolina and they're the back to back attendance champs.

Right 100%. Girls should be spending their time in sewing club, cooking, preparing for motherhood, and learning to keep their damned mouths shut.
It may save them some "Zaching" in the future.

I would believe this was footage of you if it continued to show the lady put her knee or foot on his throat and literally kill him.
