UGA's 1980 title is the worst of all AP SEC undefeated NC teams

For example the Alabama teams of 78 or 79 would have handled 1980 Georgia with easy.
In the regular season Florida was their best win. Florida was the 3rd best team in Florida that year.

UGA played 3 ranked teams. They certainly did not have as strong a case for their title as some, but Georgia did the best a team can do which is win every game you play. 1984 BYU is the worst poll-era title by far. They played 1 ranked team, Michigan, who finished 3-7. Georgia's title is more legitimate than most.

Watch the SECNET replay of the 1980 WLOCP and in the first qt Hershel breaks off a great long run...take a look also of a WR tackling a Gator to keep him from stopping Walker. Very easy to see...but the zebras seeing eye dog was busy licking his anus.

Considering that the teams below are the only undefeated AP NC's from the SEC I would have to say yes.

I would say BYU was the worst but yes, I agree, 1980 Georgia was not a great team. They did what was asked of them and it's in the books.
