What will Jimbo do?

He's a national championship winning coach going to a school that has every advantage (instate talent, money, facilities).
There shouldn't be any reason to not win the SEC and be a playoff contender in the near future.
Am I wrong in getting the feeling that he'll fall well short of that in his tenure?

He will lube the boys up before. Don’t worry.

Not wrong to think that with how 1 loss could knock a team out of contention.

Jimbo will win the SEC 3 or 4 times in his first contract with A&M and 1 or 2 National Championships. The real question is what will he do on his second contract. That's going to be incredible.

Jimbo with be the thick of things in the West with hard fought battles against State Ark & OM for who gets the coveted 4th place in the West

He'll win the SEC well before Mizzou does. But not until after saban retires.

Jimbo had a top 5 nationally ranked recruiting class just about every year he was HC at FSU -- more talent than other team in the conference. There's no reason he shouldn't have won or played for the ACC title nearly every year at FSU, and yet he didn't. He's a good coach, but he's not elite.
Not sure he's gonna do any better in the same division as Bama, AU, and LSU.

If he can find a rapist to aid and abet with a cannon of an arm and can run like hell to play QB he might have a chance

Will have to contend with Saban the first half of that, and then Dabo the second half of it. The coach he ran away from in the ACC.

quote:Without Winston Jimbo was mediocre at best. He isn't going to get that level of team and a Winston at A&M. Even if he could he would have to play alot more teams than just Clemson to win anything.

LSU is not a concern moving forward. The SEC is A&M/Bama/Aub and Georgia/Florida moving forward for the foreseeable future

You've lost your damn mind. Lol.

He is in rare form (as in the gayest form he will ever be)

One of these is definitely not like the others. Nice try, Daniel.

If you've been betting against A&M since 1939 you've probably made out like a bandit.

A&M fans are going to lose their minds when Jimbo ends up having his contract bought-out within 5 years. This board will melt down for the next year. I can't wait.
