Mine was the Braves winning the World Series. What are some other big sports events of 1995?

Memorable victories?

Big wins?

49ers beating Chargers in SB. I was a fifth grade in El Paso, and my class made bets on that game. It was like 20-5 in favor of 49ers.

That was the last time the 49ers won a Super Bowl, wasn't it? Same for the Braves, last World Series win was in 1995.

Were there any other teams that had big wins that would be their last in 1995?

I was still basking in our 94 basketball championship and enjoying another run to the title game. Sigh...

You know, the only kink in this whole thing was Manning to Kent derailing the entire thread.

Weird, I thought the NBA went on hiatus in 1994 and 1995. 1993 and 1996, obviously everyone remembers those. Were those like scab teams or something?

Learn something new everyday.

My oldest daughter was born on the day the Braves won it 1-0. Remember watch the game that night in the hospital.

My only saving grace as a little 10 year old sitting in Legion Field that night was hearing the PA announcer say "Atlanta Braves 6, Cincinnati Reds 0, Braves advance to the World Series".

Everything else was shite

I know the Hawks have never once had a good team let alone a great one, but 1995 was when Dream cemented himself as the best big of all time. He put on a clinic vs Shaq, Robinson, and Ewing the year before.

Dinardo bringing the white jerseys back to Tiger Stadium was a pretty good win.
