Why did the SEC let South Carolina and Missouri in?

Texas A&M has been a magnificent addition. Arkansas seems to fit in to a certain extent.

Missouri? Was that for specific markets like KC and St. Louis? Makes a little sense I guess.

But South Carolina? Why? They are ACC material.

The SEC couldn’t lure Clemson away after Bowden tucked tail and ran to the ACC? They had some serious success in the 80s.

Another dumb southerner that doesn't understand how the conference network generates revenue.

Just keep sending the checks. Natural Light prices should remain consistent so stop complaining.

SC is a perfect fit.

Mizzou not so much, but the SEC didn’t want to deal with an unbalanced schedule once they landed A&M and it was an opportunity to expand the market right when the TV deal was being launched.

South Carolina has nothing in common with the ACC today. South Carolina is more like MS than NC or VA. It is a Deep South state where football is king. We put 80k in the stands even when we stink. We have 2 CWS titles, a women's basketball title and a men's Final 4 this decade.

You shouldn't have to justify Scar being in the SEC.

But we as a conference missed out on Clemson. South Carolina brought in baseball championships, a non-revenue sport. Yay.

They nearly killed Steve, and drove him to quit midway through the year.

Clemson was a serious miss IMO.

A Clemson-A&M permanent cross division game would have been AWESOME!

You’re showing your true colors a little too much here bud. The first rule in running a good alter is holding back just a little, maintain the illusion.

We understand that Mizzou has delivered neither KC nor St Louis, just not a football state. Amazed the nfl is still there. Not for much longer I bet. Birmingham is still the best college football market. Mizzou has done well so far, but as far as ratings go, Mizzou has been a big shite sandwich despite some success on the field. We so should have gone with West Virginia.

You should have googled "How the SEC network generates revenue" before you came back and doubled down on the dumb southerner stereotype.
