don't want Dabo myself. If Pruitt has any kind of success I would rather have him. I like his fire and energy better

weird how an Auburn fan is always camped out on Clemson-Alabama topics.
guess it has to do with losing 4 in a row to Clemson football and your best college bball team in 20 years getting stomped by 40 against Clemson in the big dance. lol

I'm hoping he never comes back to Bama.

i could see him passing on replacing Saban, but no way would he pass on the job if offered twice.

Dabo just built the second coming of the Biltmore. Nobody buying that.

Don't understand why anybody thinks he would go to Alabama. Clemson's a better location for recruiting in my view and has a nicer campus.
Bama fan's obviously worried about their next coach not being able to recruit well which is why this topic always comes up.
If Bama was so easy to recruit, they wouldn't be worried about next coach. it wouldn't matter what coach is hired. lol Just promote a wide receivers coach and win...like Clemson did. lol
i never seen or heard any Clemson fan talk about the next football coach at Clemson. We don't see dark days ahead with a different coach.

Who wants to follow Saban? Beyond that, he's pretty well built his own legacy at Clemson, they love him, have great facilities etc.

i'm not denying that. I would have selected clemson if i lived in south carolina it is much nicer than columbia. In fact i may have the opportunity to move to Greeneville, SC. I will accept if get an offer. It is a great area. I may even attend a game at clemson. Do i need to bring a bucket of minnows or some night crawlers to catch fish in the lake.

Immediately post Saban.
Pretty much established himself as their GOAT before he even went to the first championship, let alone won the 2nd one.

If he wants to come and is smart, it’ll be after a coach or two didn’t live up to the unrealistic expectations that Saban has created. That would allow him to kind of bring Bama back from somewhat of a lull that the coaches following Saban put Bama in and be seen as somewhat of a savior. He probably won’t have the same savior success as Saban though.
The longer he stays at Clemson, the less likely it is he will ever leave. I already think he'll never leave there, but if you're saying he should wait until a couple more coaches have gone through Alabama after Saban, then he'll be probably in his mid 60s and will have been at Clemson possibly 25 years. There would be no real incentive for either side for Dabo to go to Alabama at that point.

I honestly think if Pruitt does well at UT, he will come home to Bama when Saban retires.
That's a really fricking big "if." Serious question: are people starting to speculate that was a good hire? Haven't heard much Pruitt news out of Knoxville.
