Does anyone know? He agreed to sport an Auburn jersey around campus for one day if they lost the iron bowl.

I just haven't heard anything about it.

Surely bama players, like their fans, will uphold their end of a friendly bet? It's all for fun right?

LOL hopefully he promised Charles he would wash his laundry for 5 years or something as a substitute. Maybe tip him off on some gambling information next season.

The last thing that poor kid needs while battling for his career is to have 5,000 unwashed bammers seeing pictures of him walking around campus in a Cam Newton jersey

I doubt it. Bammers are known to habitually welch on the terms of a bet when they lose. Bama's SGA president is a prime example.

Like the Auburn SGA President who changed the words of the Alabama fight song from "remember the Rose Bowl we'll when then" to "remember Bill Curry we'll win then". That was actually kind of funny when it happened...lol

Did the Alabama SGA president not show up to sing the Auburn fight song or something?

To be fair, the Auburn guy was just showing you illiterate redneck bammers the proper use of when vs win. You're welcome for that

She was there but bitched out on the singing. Which btw I don't blame her, you'd have to pay me a lot of money to sing in front of a packed basketball arena.

But funny you say that because the last time in 2013 the Bama SGA President really did completely bitch out and not even show up to present the award citing it was "too cold to safely travel" from Tuscaloser to Auburn

Whatever, bowl. Hell, 280 south of 459 still had stranded cars all over it that morning. I know you stayed home too, because Spain Park HS was closed that day.

Excuses. I lived in Bluff Park at the time on top of the mountain and my truck never got stuck

You think the SGA President of The University of Alabama drives a 4x4? Generally speaking, the parents of the SGA President have quite a bit of money. I'm sure they drive something a little classier and white collarish.

I don't think the SGA President of the University of Alabama can even multiply 4x4.

Did y'all have the SEC West trophy prominently displayed next to the ODK trophy for the ceremony?

Same thing happens in real life. Bama fans will forget a bet when they lose, but call immediately when they win. It’s how they Roll.

He might as well have had an Auburn jersey on during the actual iron bowl

All of this operates on the presumption that Barkley was telling the truth, considering he is literally the only source for the bet. Hurts is never the source of information for the bet in any article - they all reference Barkley saying it on an interview on Jox.

Entirely possible the bet simply occurred in Barkley's head. And that would just be turrible.
