If you were an NFL GM which one would you choose to draft?

Easily Michel. He is just more versatile. Chubb will do great if he is behind a decent line. If not, he will be pounded. I hope he gets drafted by the right team for his success. Michel will be a weapon almost anywhere.

By the way, shout out for using my quote Ugasickem. I am honored. I have seen it for a while but never said thanks!

Michel - better pass catching back, more burst to get to the hole, and I'm not sure he has maxed out as a player yet (he got better every year at UGA).

I love Chubb but I don't see him having a prolific pro career - his strengths don't match up well with the NFL. I'd love to be wrong on that and hope he does really well.

Michel. He's a prototype for the RB that the NFL has fallen in love with. He can run the ball out of the backfield or catch it from the slot.

Definitely Michel.

I will say, Chubb showed an increased burst this past year that will make him more attractive to scouts, but Michel's got more agility and moves on him. Plus he packs a punch when he wants to as well.

Would have typed basically this if you hadn't.

Michel probably better in Pass Pro, better catching the ball out of the backfield, and still has the build to be *able* to run it inside as well... just more versatile of a piece. I'm looking forward to seeing if Chubb can continue to build on his "return" though.

Michel, but I do think Chubb has a chance at being an elite player in the NFL.

Pre injury Chubb was a BEAST!!! But since then he has never been the same. His explosiveness and agility has slowed a lot. I do think thought with the proper training he can get back there. Im one of the few that liked Michel better when they were freshman. If Michel never got hurt his freshman season who knows what would've happened

Chubb can catch the ball just fine out of the backfield and is a great blocker. Chubb has more burst than Sony.

They have different styles when running in open space but they both have great vision. Chubb seeks contact and works his moves off of that, while Sony seeks to elude but will turn toward contact without hesitation.

I think we’ve been spoiled as a fanbase for running backs when we are sitting here doubting Chubb.

As a GM, I would take Chubb.

That said, everyone is right about the fact Sony will go first, because the mass perception is that he’s the prototype.

All Im saying is Chubb is also a great prototype.

I don't see it as "doubting" Chubb... simply that there is a more clear line of sight to see how Sony can excel in the league. It will be team dependent for both honestly... Sony in the wrong offense will be wasted, meanwhile, Chubb behind the wrong offensive line could be as well. Predicting NFL success is really damn difficult. Backs that were more highly touted than either have struggled. If my job's on the line, I want Sony... the upside is Chubb is going to go later in the draft, so there will be a ton of value in the pick.

I think it was the lateral quickness that has never quite come back to 100% for Nick. Straight line speed seems normal as well as vision and power...it’s just the ability to move quickly side to side that hasn’t come back fully, and may never.

I agree in a straight line. I don't see the lateral movement or suddenness though. He just seems a little stiff and won't be able to overpower NFL teams.

I have a theory that he got a little muscle-bound when he was injured and couldn't work out in a balanced way.

As Chubb gets further away from his injury I expect his training and body to evolve. I think we will see a more dynamic Chubb in the pros. I would never sell Nick short.

Also, in the last two seasons, whenever Chubb was on the field he got the ball 39/40 times. That’s why he was always being gang tackled. Yet still finished with very respectable ypc.

In an NFL backfield where he may only get the ball 40% of the time so defense can’t gang up on him, he’ll be explosive.

Like he was as a freshman before he made a name for himself and commanded extra attention.

Chubb still isn't back to 100% and his initial burst is where he is still lacking. He did seem to improve this by the end of the season but still didn't look to be quite 100% yet. Hopefully he will be able to get back to his preinjury ability, if so he still will be a stud.

Having said that my choice is Michel all day. I thought he was the 2nd best back the day he stepped foot at UGA, behind T Gurley.
