Losing this one would not have been ideal. Glad to see the players take their energy on the road. Now we get two straight home games to hopefully get to 20 wins before the SEC tournament.

Yeah, confidence should be up a little after this one. Hopefully we have our mojo back to finish the SEC schedule on a high note.

Yes.

I posted my thoughts in the season thread, but overall this win doesn't move the RPI needle, but it is indeed a big win. Its our 2nd road win and it sets us up nicely if we can defend the home court Saturday and Tuesday. Stealing one on the road at Bama or Mizzou would really help us seed wise. This was a good start to end the road woes.

Big win against a shitty team that the coach bailed on

I think MA needs to stick to the same recipe as they did tonight. Feed Gafford down low and let him score. We like to play fast, but it slows the game down a bit in the first half and wears on the opposing bigs.

If Gafford hadn't picked up the two cheap ones early, he may have pushed 30 points tonight.

Kryptonite for Ole Piss, amazing that it took a loss in BWA to get it figured out.
Sadly the remainder of the games "suitcasemike" will fall on his face and lose.

Meh, I am pretty critical of MA but the team tonight didn't look like one ready to fall on its face. Looks like a team that has good energy going down the stretch and will have raucous crowds at home the next two games to feed off of.

Macon didn't show up, we'll need him and Barford for the stretch run.

Won 6 out of the last 8. Have a chance to really finish strong by winning out at home.

They have have one home loss on the record and it wasn't to OM.

Gafford looked great. Big concern is TAMU's bigs. It's going to be a handful to slow down Robert Williams and Tyler Davis. Hogs will need a lot of help down low. Hopefully some of the other guys bring their game.

That being said, it was great to see the team win with Barford and Macon both playing relatively poorly. What I liked about it is that they didn't try to force the issue. They knew it was an off night for both of them offensively, and still were good influences on the court.

Hall played well, as did Beard. Some of the other guys didn't look too bad either. Even though CJ Jones wasn't hitting a lot, I liked his confidence to at least pull up on some open shots. He'll start making them hopefully soon.

Aggy should be more concerned about their lack of ball handlers and handling the press in BWA.

If aggy is about slow the game down and make it about the post play, then Arkansas isn't likely to win.

I don't disagree, but their guards played relatively well against us last time. Have to get their guards rattled early and don't let them get easy 3s like last game. Any game is winnable for us in BWA, but Aggie is a good team.

They won't be bringing those same guards this time.

Their starting PG is out for the season, the back up was out against Mizzou, not sure if he will be back Saturday or not.

The way Kennedy's teams are built isn't "next man up" like we saw tonight with Barford and Macon having an off night.

He had 6 assists.

Yea, he had an off shooting night but Barford had 1 assist and was 1-7 from behind the arc.

Not sure why Mike gives him the free pass.

Macon at least tries to create for others.

Barford has been stellar at defense lately.

Barford contributed 13 points and 5 boards which tied Thompson for 4th on the team tonight.

By comparison Hall added 14 from the bench, the rest of the bench added 6 points total.

We need Bailey to get over the flu and be 100% by Saturday.
