Are we not yet interested in Don Ragsdale?

He is going to be a good one.

Looks like his frame has really filled out in the last year. Hopefully that added weight didn't cost him too much of his athleticism.

We've added two more JUCO guys this afternoon.
Jamar Richardson, DB from Jones
JaVonta Payton, WR from Northwest
I'm not thrilled about adding so many junior college players this early in the process but I can vouch that Payton and Tisdale really make plays.

Both Richardson and Tisdale are kids who were recommitting, so I don't mind it. Good for them for making it back. I know Tisdale unfortunately tore his ACL while at Northwest, so I hope he's been able to recover well. I've heard nothing but good things about Payton, and I trust our WR scouting

Also, these JUCO guys can help hold our program over until the bowl ban is gone. Very few really good players will want to play here if they can't play in a bowl, so I don't mind a lot of early JUCO signees.

2019 signees won't face a bowl ban for one day.
The bowl ban is for 2017 and 2018 seasons.

I'm not sure how to interpret that list of targets, but it does not make me feel good about our much needed oline recruiting. We can't whiff at that position two years in a row.

Luke said we are going to sign a shite ton on OL this year. Obviously have to replace Little and a few others.

How are we standing with some of the Mississippi prospects? Ben Garrett really likes our chances with Nakobe Dean but after stating that he was 99.9% certain that we'd get Charles Strong on the podcast on Tuesday I don't believe a word he says.

Make or break class for Luke IMO. This much instate talent doesn’t come around often. Would be a springboard for his success similar to Freeze’s 13 class. Must capitalize on natural ties and instate connections.

We have the worst beat writers. All of them are clueless.

4 out of 5 starters will leave after 2018.
LT Little
LG Patterson
C Rawlings
RG Sims
RT Givens ( who will leave as a junior or stay as a senior in 2019)

Will Nakobe Dean break the Linebacker dry spell?
Posted on 2/9/18 at 11:16 pm to rebelcommodore
Hell no. He's going to Alabama.

One can only hope.. but we seem to always get out-bid for LBs

Sean Adams Passed Away
RIP. Damn his poor family.
quote:
Adams underwent knee surgery several days ago and began experiencing breathing trouble Friday morning. He was taken to the hospital where he passed a blood clot and died, said Hughes, who coaches youth teams at Christ Methodist. Adams, a 6-5, 340-pound guard, was listed as the state's 32nd-best prospect in the latest 24/7 composite rankings. Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Missouri, Tennessee and Austin Peay had offered. He was a starter as a sophomore on the East team that won the Class 4A state championship in 2016.
RIP. Damn his poor family.
