Saw a list circling around Twitter. I don't know how accurate it is but this is how it looks:

1. Los Angeles Lakers - 67
2. New York Yankees - 65
3. University of Alabama - 52
4. St. Louis Cardinals - 49
5. Dallas Cowboys - 48
6. Boston Red Sox - 46
7. Chicago Bulls - 45

College Football has a total of 202 covers in the history of Sports Illustrated.

Honestly, SI does a good job with the covers and nailing some predictions on the way.

Here are a few for folks:

I assume that number only counts nationwide covers. I know preseason a lot of times they will come out with regional covers.

yes, it is scary...but I look at it as he has it ready to throw...instead of immediately tucking to run.

One other thing worth noting. Bama's ex-players have also been on the SI cover many times. I have a lot of them in my photo bucket.

Most recent - Julio Jones 2017

Eddie Lacy 2014

Joe Namath (10 - 1 with Bama; 9 with Jets)

Kenny Stabler (3 - all with Raiders)

Bart Starr (4 - 3 as Greenbay QB; 1 as Greenbay coach)

Shaun Alexander (2 - both with Seahawks)

John Hannah (l - Patriots)

Lee Roy Jordan (l - Cowboys)

Richard Todd (1 - Jets)

Ozzie Newsome (1 - Browns)

Chris Samuels (1 - Redskins)

it's Kawhi Leonard's hand, but I remember jatebe fawning over Tua's large hands on here.
