Vols' Shaq Wiggins tells recruit to go to Mississippi State

quote:

That’s the greatest CB coach in the NCAA bro @27TBuck if you committed stay with em..... — Shaquille Wiggins (@ShaqWiggins6) January 21, 2018

quote:

No I don’t even know this kid, all I saw was a picture with him and coach T. Buck and letting him know my opinion on who the best CB coach is in the NCAA, that coach helped me with my personal life and made me a better young man for the rest of my life. REAL LIFE situations.

Recruits shouldn't be taking any advice from Shaq Wiggins

He obviously made mistakes and learned from them.

No, apparently he didn't. And the coach, that kept him on the bench at UT, is state's new DC

Seems like UT just brings everybody down. looked like Wigfins did well under Buckley. Then he made the mistake of going to UT. Shoop also excelled until he went to UT. There seems to be a common thread here...

Shoop doesn't know how to talk to black players, you'll see.

Just curious. What makes you think he learned from them?

I mean, how much credence can you put into what he said? True he played for 3 different DB coaches, but to say on of those was the best in the country? he is basing that on......what?

Luckily we signed a linebacker from Tupelo who can mediate. I heard that's how he had success at PSU and Vandy; always had a middleman.

Wiggins left after a couple weeks of Pruitt's first spring practice at UGA. He made a statement about wanting to play for a coach that appreciated his big personality, or something to that effect.

ETA:
quote:

"I am looking for a team who will embrace my personality, someone who is a jovial, carefree and a bit of a jokester but who knows when to put jokes aside, get focused and become a true competitor, especially when on the field.

"I want to learn, and I want someone who can channel my energy and enthusiasm to take my game to the next level."

Why don't you tweet him and ask him?

Funny, Pruitt wanted a DB that appreciated elite secondary coaching. The 2 were just never going to work

I heard he starts sweating profusely and inserts urban slang into the dialogue but uses it in the wrong context, greatly confusing and offending his players

Guys, Penn State and Vanderbilt don't have African American football players. That was why Shoop brought down Tennessee's vaunted , championship caliber defense. Everything was on track for a Natty, until Shoop and those pesky black players ruined it all.

Maybe we can hire Anthony Dixon, Johnthan Banks or another one of our former players to be Shoop's official translator.
