Water under the bridge, but a little confused about the UGA indignation on this one. Anyone care to explain? The way I see it is, even if the guy isn't in the neutral zone, the correct call would have been a false start. That would have negated the block in itself as a pre snap penalty, no?
eta. I'll definitely give UGA the missed facemask (although that'd be a pretty shitty way to get a 1st down), but the one I think was really bad was the push on Fromm.

It was being rekicked regardless. But bad calls all night. Both ways.

The missed facemask had me believing the conspiracy theories for a minute there, tbh

Yep, if it had been called correctly it would've been a false start on Bama. the play would've been stopped, Bama would move back 5 yards, and rekicked. The block wouldn't have happened regardless if it was called properly.

I think it's a pretty clear false start on 17.

The bama player shoving Fromm's helmet to the ground right in front of the ref is where I started to believe.

That was right after, wasn't it?

It happened where the ref couldn't see it. When they faced the ref hand wa on jersey.

It was dumb, and he's fortunate it wasn't called, but A) he didn't shove it to the ground, he pushed it as he was getting off him. Not saying it was right, but there is a difference. if he'd shoved to ground I have no doubt it gets called and B) that type of shove happens a lot during games. it rarely gets called.

I would argue that more calls went Bama's way, but I am admittedly biased.

It was called properly? Are you an idiot. They called offsides, he wasnt offsides....what part of that is called properly. Wow

He didn't shove it to the ground. He just pushed his head pushed down to keep him from raising his head and hitting him in the nuts. Self defense preemptive strike. ??
