Here is the point, the play was not blown dead so it was never a false start.

So if they call it fair, it's a blocked punt.

The entire nation knows that UGA got robbed of a probable national championship. On the positive side, none of the UGA players will be expected to go visit the sleazy racist in the White House.

In effect, we got the win without the humiliation.

None of those photos are face mask calls. The grasp is just below the helmet in each. Go watch the tape.

He did move early but may not have been in the neutral zone.

As far as I'm concerned though it was makeup call from the first qtr when a Georgia defender stepped like he was coming which caused our o lineman to move and we got a procedure call.
Later, a Bama player does the same exact thing, the Georgia o lineman moves and we get an offside (and Saban went apeshite... for good reason). One killed a Bama drive and the other kept a Georgia drive alive. The biggest fricke we got was the heel out of bounds on the bomb. Total screw job.

That’s definitely not a face mask in the second pic. Look at Hurts jersey.

You mean the one where he responded to Fromm elbowing him in the nuts?

Are you seriously this fricking stupid? If they call it "fair", they call every infraction on the play, which was a false start.

That was a serious question, btw. Are you really that fricking stupid?

Water under the bridge, but a little confused about the UGA indignation on this one. Anyone care to explain? The way I see it is, even if the guy isn't in the neutral zone, the correct call would have been a false start. That would have negated the block in itself as a pre snap penalty, no?

eta. I'll definitely give UGA the missed facemask (although that'd be a pretty shitty way to get a 1st down), but the one I think was really bad was the push on Fromm.

You said it...correct call should have been a false start on Bama and that's the only call that should have been made.. It would have been nice to push them back a few more yards and re-kick. Who knows what would have happened.

think UGA fans wanted them to miss the false start, but get the offsides call right.

They did miss the false start(s) and didn't get the offsides right. What are we missing here?

Good god, people, let's be honest. They wouldn't have called a false start on Alabama. The intention of the call was to help Bama. Clearly.

Next thing you guys will be wondering why Alabama never gets called for holding or some shite.

Dude, we still completed a 50 yard play and had a 1st down. Not at all like a false start on the game tying TD or 2 drive extending personals fouls.

And that play was reviewed and the ESPN microphone monkies said they couldn't tell. Try again.

gonna need video, can't tell much from those. The Ridley one looks like the only one that is definite from those still photos.

The play should've been blown dead because we had 2-3 players that moved before the ball was even snapped.

But instead they called Georgia offsides...Because they blocked the punt.

It can't get any more obvious than that. People just don't wanna face the fact that games are rigged sometimes.

Get real, people.

Just like the game tying TD play, right?...well, not entirely, only one was moving (#22 N. Harris).

Uh, I'm not a sunshine pumper that drinks the kool-aid. The refs were totally out to lunch. How they could miss THREE players that moved before the ball was snapped is inexcusable. I can understand missing a false start call when 1 guy moves, but 3 is a joke.
