I'd tell myself not to waste my first go-around in college by taking a major that I had only a passing interest in and would never be happy using as a profession. During my second time in college I was older and more serious about what I was doing - best thing I ever did for myself. I went from a completely unhappy junior economist working for a major publishing house to an extremely satisfied and happy certified registered nurse anesthetist.
Don't waste your time working a career that makes you miserable, guys - there's always a way out and there's something out there for everybody. I never thought I'd be able to afford to go back to school and damn sure never imagined that I'd find a career that I would love so much.
Honestly I'd be almost as happy being a CRNA even if I didn't make the kind of money that I make today.

Aside from stock picks and sports outcomes, I think I would just talk about some of things I like now that I didn't care or know too much about 20 years ago.
I don't have any major failures or mistakes that I would need to tell myself to avoid, just some things I wish I had realized earlier in life. My interests have changed a lot over the years.
