Not surprising.

Gives us another scholarship that hopefully we can put to better use.

Let’s free another spot and get rid of CVL

Smith likely.

Geist and CVL could certainly be replaced though.

If you look at Advanced (TM) Real Time RPI Plus Minus sabremetrics, you’ll see that CVL is the primary reason we’ve won every game this year.

Na, CVL will never be the reason Mizzou won or lost a game.

His program academically is also a 5 year program, so he’s not going to transfer or graduate early.

CVL is fine. I’d rather see Smith go, but dont really like forcing anyone out who has committed to your program. Roberts was probably told and sees that playing time might be tough to come by.

Roberts also did something that got him in Zo's doghouse per his father.

We may want Smith here in a couple of years. It’s very possible that both Jontay and Tilmon leave early for the NBA.

If that happens in 2019, then Mizzou will also lose Puryear. The frontcourt will be left to Smith, Nikko and whoever Mizzou gets in the 2019 class (hopefully 1 if those is Liddell)

You realize CM likes CVL right? I mean he's not playing him bc he has to but bc CVL has earned it.

WIth CJ transferring at what point can we start saying CM is in over his head and was a bad hire? Asking for a friend.

CJ was never a Cuonzo recruit and obviously he has someone on his mind for that scholarship.

CJ Roberts is a great player, and a great recruit, but for the KA days. This is a new program, looking for a different breed of talent. I wish the kid the best.

Jury is still out on CM, but I certainly question his coaching abilities. Recruiting wise, he gets a gold star. Coaching??.........haven’t seen it yet, but it could happen.

Um this team is 100% better coached than last year. They beat UCF on the road.

Only hiccup has been that WVU implosion which I'll chalk up to youth, same with Utah.

Yea I would say his coaching has been solid so far. Especially when you consider that Cuonzo spent the entire offseason designing an offense centered on MPJ, only to have him play 2 minutes

True, our record is better, and so is our talent level. Coaching? I don’t know about that. I thought CM did a very poor job against WVU. He’s had very few chances to show me if he can actually coach x’s and 0’s, and that game didn’t help his cause. 9turnovers during a 6 minute spzn....and we couldn’t even get the ball inbounds, and he didn’t call a timeout to set up any kind of play to secure our lead and the victory. I think you guys are confusing better Talent and record with coaching ability.
Can he recruit? Absolutely...with the best of them. Can he actually coach? The jury is still out for me!
