Breaking: Gus wanted to come to Arkansas, job never officially offered due to BOT

With that being said, their Top target was Lane and that’s not being entertained enough as their liking.
Norvell is possibly out, due to issues.
Morris is out due to issues.
Didn’t ask or dig deeper about ‘issues’ so don’t shoot the messenger. I will post as soon as I hear. Looks like the BOT has squashed some of the candidates. GOBN wanted Gus, with Norvell as the backup, shut down by BOT.
It’s looking like Venebles, Horton or I do think Norvell may have a chance with more vetting.

If we get Horton, I'm just done watching Arkansas and will enjoy college sports as a whole. That'll be the final shred of evidence that Arkansas is done trying to be competitive.

Why would we wait a week to hire a coordinator? Does not compute.
Gus has big name appeal. It would have looked good nationally.
Norvell is a big up and comer. He's the kind of coach that could be the next Urban Meyer or the next Kevin Sumlin.
Kiffen would recruit well. He could probably put together a really good staff. I'm not convinced he wouldn't bail on us in a couple of seasons if he had some success.

Then the BoT are a bunch of idiots.
And the GOBN deserves every bit of scorn and ridicule that we get. A guy comes along who tries to elevate us beyond a bunch of freaking chicken, rice, and soy farmers and we fire him and depend on our inflated sense of importance to think we're going to land the coach of our dreams.
