no-nuts Norvel

should have taken a gamble and went for the hail-mary in regulation.

Just getting him ready for the rant should we choose to hire him.

Seriously, I like Norvell. I'm just ready to have an AD and coach.

Why would you? It's just five yards, time outs are more valuable than that.

Because 5 yards for a game winning field goal kick are a big deal

What an emotional game on both sides. Love it when two teams really put it all out there.

If UofA hires MN, at minimum we'll we some dandy shootouts with MIZ.

2 more observations:

1. Pretty shitty for them to announce Frost to Nebraska during the game. It's not an emergency. The media needs to have a sense of respect for the game and fans.

2. Great job by Frost to push through all that nonsense and win. A ton of coaches would have been looking forward instead of focusing on the game.

I honestly think Norvell probably goes for 2 and the win if they scored a TD there at the end, similar to how Bert went for it against Ole Miss in 2015 after 4th and 15.

You’re in an offensive shootout, your defense has been getting gashed, and you’re on the road in an amped up environment.

Too bad we didn’t get the chance to see it, but I’m wondering if that would’ve been his move.

Hate to see that many points given up by a coach we are looking at, win or lose. We could do worse than Norvell, with the right DC.

I enjoyed the breakdown of how it was done...

They were down two scores earlier in the game as well...

There was so much in playcalling, figurations, etc. Very well coached offense.

That's the first Memphis game I've watched all year. I'd still have Venables #1 on my list, but I'd put Norvell ahead of Kiffy now.

Norvell appears to be a heck of a coach. Hope he can put a D together.

What can I say? I'm just a defense first guy. I think it's how you win the big ones.

I haven't really been shitty to anyone, just tried making my case. I think I brought some content, rather than just opinion.

I said that awhile back. See if you can grab Venables and Norvell. Venables can work with Norvell's offense.

Norvell as head coach and give Venables a big bump in pay and name him assistant head coach.

Don't tell me you think this is a realistic scenario

Yeah, nobody involved would go for that. Probably would be a disaster if they did.

Pretty easy, really. Defensive coaches win. Saban, Smart, Venables.

Well, hopefully you get your guy, and you can show me how you get it so much better than I do. Who is your guy, btw?
