Moorehead is the architect behind PSU's offense. He won as a hc on a lower level, so did Jim Tressel and Chip Kelly. I've been pushing him as a candidate since last year. MSU enjoy him for the next four years.

I like it.

Moorhead deserves a HC job and he could do well at MSU.

Curious why everyone likes this hire so much. Not suggesting it is bad but I just don't know much about the guy. Seems to have had 2 good years directing the Penn State offense but what else is there to be excited about?

He's been floating around for a while. He was the OC for that UConn team that went to the Fiesta Bowl and took over a 1-10 Fordham team and turned them into a good FCS team. Penn State hired him and they are 21-5 since.

Good hire.

Very good hire. It would have been a mistake to hire Pruitt. It's too early in his career to be a SEC coach. It would have been a disaster

Not who they really wanted. The AD asked his secretary for a little more head and she faxed off a contract.

I know, but somebody had to.

He's a horrible fit, knows nothing about the South, it's football culture, has no recruiting relationships, etc etc. This is Bret Bielema on a smaller scale.

Pretty good hire but wait until Vols hire Gruden. Why go after a real candidate like Moorhead when Gruden is on deck?

He probably turned down the Tennessee job before deciding to go with State. Good hire.

Interesting. Thought it would be Pruitt.

Tennessee still isn't hired anyone. Hahaha

Well, it takes a little longer when the UT AD has to get email replies from 3.5 million people.....

I'm being told he's a more creative Dan Mullen, and SI #1 assistant
