I'm not a Jones fanboy but that's absolute bullshite. You shouldn't get your news from facebook memes. Write in Mo Brooks if you want. He'd of been a thousand times better than either Strange or Moore even though I'm pissed at him at the moment for his Moore comments.

Yeah, anyone in Alabama who is voting for this guy can get off their moral high horse. The Sandusky stuff is way worse but if you are going be up in arms about a second-hand media report that Schiano witnessed an instance of child molestation and only discussed it with people within the program, you should probably be consistent when there are several first-, second-, and third-hand sources in media reports discussing Roy Moore trying to do the same thing to several people.
You are basically Joe Paterno in this situation. He had credible reports from multiple people but never saw anything and, by all accounts, didn't want the information. Who knows, maybe he is even like a lot of posters here in saying there is no way to know what really happened or someone else will remove him from his position if there is credible evidence found.

except, this statement is a lie
I don't know if you are lying, or if you really just do not understand the facts
but that comment is absolutely wrong

and you are willing to throw Moore under the bus for 11th hour allegations?
one came from a known dem operative
one from a woman that had him as her judge for her divorce
I spoke up loud and strong against Bentley and voted against Strange twice because of his actions concerning the Luv Guv
I voted for Brooks in round 1 and Moore in round 2
you want to have a real conversation here?
I'll go this far then, outside of the claims of the 14 year old (who has made similar accusations in the past and has credibility issues outside of this) - Roy has not been accused of doing anything wrong - nada
We know that the yearbook deal is super sketchy and probably a forgery
we know that the ONLY credible witness insofar as "mall bans" vehemently denies them (the mall security manager from that actual time period - a much more credible witness than any that have come out against Moore)
we know these accusations came at the 11th hour with the national balance of power at stake
Roy chasing younger women? I don't like it; but it was not uncommon back then
my wife has a cousin her same age that started dating her now husband when she was 15
Elvis & Priscilla?
90% + of THIS board has an uncle or grandfather that married a woman 10 or more years younger & started dating when the girl was 15-21
it was not a big deal at the time (one of the women actually admitted that her mom said she was the "luckiest girl in the world")
also, Roy wound up marrying one of those "girls"
ALL of them (even the 14 year old) acknowledge that Roy backed off when asked and took them home
sexual impropriety is not even alleged in ANY of the cases
I don't like Moore; I find it troubling that he has demonstrated that he is above the law and that he can do as he damn well pleases
but I am for damned sure not going to support an obstructionist to the agenda of THIS President; not over unsubstantiated allegations
the situation with Moore vs the Tenn coach? worlds apart
I did not show "moral cowardice" in the Bentley situation (I was a strong advocate for impeachment); and I am not in this case either
your finger wagging is misplaced here
I will close with this - do YOU really want strong passes made at a woman to be redefined as "sexual harassment" & made into a crime? and should the accused be demonized and forced from gainful employment before proof of guilt (guilty until proven innocent)???

I don't think anyone is suggesting he should be in prison. There is a taint attached to anyone associated with that program when Sandusky was there, but it's a lot worse when your name appears in a sworn deposition as someone who had knowledge of his misdeeds.
this is exactly correct

They are using hearsay about an alleged incident to create false outrage to torpedo a shitty hire.

who's talking about taking passes at a woman? if Moore had just been a creeper towards women it wouldn't be a discussion. We're talking about girls here. Children.

no we are not
we are talking about 17 - 24 year old women
and he married one of them; giving credibility to the idea that he was looking for a wife
I don't like it, won't lie about that
but men in their late 20's & early 30's courting and dating women that age was not uncommon at the time; especially in more rural areas

I dislike pedophiles as much as anyone, but I am not sure I blame Schiano just cause he worked there.
Posted on 11/26/17 at 8:20 pm to Vols&Shaft83
people enjoy getting a rise out of all this but I guarantee you the majority of folks who arent bammers are in complete agreement with you. I was damn proud to see the UT fans standing up and not accepting it.

you know 17 isn't the same number as 14, right?
one woman alleges that he hit on her when she was 14
she also claims she snuck out of the house and he picked her up on a street corner to avoid her parents
that goes against everything we know about him
he is not my favorite person; nor is he the person I wanted as a candidate
that 14 year old has been accused of making similar accusations before
she has serious credibility issues
I do not believe that Moore was complicit in helping her sneak out of her house knowing she was 14 - it makes no sense and is contrary to everything we know about Moore
this woman claims she met him at the courthouse & that he pursued her - I do not believe her, and again, she had made similar accusations before
her story is the only one that would cause me to abstain from voting (not voting for Jones no matter what) or write in a candidate
but her story is inconsistent with everything we know about Moore (helping her hide from her parents; and pursuing her after meeting her in court)
that would have gotten him run out of town; even back then
do I think it is possible that she met him and told him she was older? and that he took her out on that false pretense?
yes - possible - I could see that happening
but outside of that; I can't see that he did anything improper; at least by the standards of the time and place

so what you're saying is that you believe the accusation against Schiano but you don't believe the accusation against Moore.
I mean, you can just admit that you want to have a reason to vote for Moore and have no such desire to see Schiano as clean.

So are y'all gonna stop worshiping Peyton since apparently it only takes an accusation?
Do you really think Schiano would be an assistant at a high profile program like Ohio State if there was any truth to it?

Hilarious what you people in Alabama have to tell yourselves to vote for Judge Roy Moore. That's a much bigger shitshow than what happened at Tennessee today and it's one that will affect all of us when you elect the a-hole.

the allegation against Schiano is that he witnessed something happening to a boy and confided in someone & that he did nothing to stop it
he did not step in and he did not make a report to the proper authorities
he denies that & the AG at the time did not feel that pursuing him was worth the trouble
that allegation comes from the man that stepped up and brought Sandusky down
the accusations against Moore? most of them amount to nothing; except the 14 year old; and even she says that when she asked Moore to stop, he did and he took her home
Moore dated younger women; women younger than I would date as old as he was
but again, he married one of them
he did not rape anyone, that is not alleged
and he did not walk away from abuse and keep his mouth shut
the Schiano deal is worse by 10,000 and more, and that is even if the 14 year old is telling the truth
so quit being a dumbass

This is not a joke, there is absolutely NOTHING I take as seriously as this issue.
