As we give thanks tomorrow for Bert’s tenure mercifully coming to a close, let’s look back at the good (rare though it may be). Which game of Bert’s was your favorite? Here are some thought starters:

2014 Texas Tech
Score: 49-28
Overview: Bert’s first road win. We went to their place, played big boy football, and beat them to a pulp in the second half on the strength of 4 Jonathan Williams touchdowns. It also gave us an amazing Vine of Dan Skipper literally throwing a Texas Tech defender aside.

2014 LSU
Score: 17-0
Overview: Bert’s first SEC win, shutting out the #17 Tigers in the process, snapping a 17 game SEC losing streak by a deliciously ironic score of 17-0. This was an extremely cold game in which the LSU players were drinking hot chocolate on their sideline. The sailing was excellent on tRant for the next 364 days.

2014 Ole Miss
Score: 30-0
Overview: Bert’s second SEC win game just a week later, also at home and in similar miserable conditions. Forgotten to history is the fact that Ole Miss game into this game ranked #8 in the country and still had an outside shot at winning the SEC West. This game also gave us two amazing gifs, one of Rohan Gaines’s 100 yard pick 6 and another of Ole Miss backup QB DeVante Kincaid throwing a backwards pass.

2014 Texas Bowl
Score: 31-7
Overview: Bert’s first bowl win here, which helped ignite the “he’s got them on the right track” conversations. This victory also helped win back a good portion of the fan base, as beating the shite out of a Texas team — hapless or not — is always good for the Razorback fan’s soul.

2015 Tennessee
Score: 24-20
Overview: Bert’s first SEC road victory. Coming off of 3 consecutive losses to Toledo, Texas Tech and Texas A&M, the Hogs we’re on the brink of disaster. Despite falling behind 14-0 early, Arkansas rallied on the strength of 154 yards and 2 TDs from Alex Collins for its first win in Knoxville since 1992.

2015 Ole Miss
Score: 53-52 (OT)
Overview: This will go down as yet another insane Arkansas-Ole Miss contest with an even more mindboggling finish, as the Hogs inexplicably converted on 4th and 25 to stay alive in OT and later got a second chance at a 2 point conversion attempt after a facemask penalty. In addition to 4th and 25 living on in infamy, this loss robbed Ole Miss a chance at its first trip to Atlanta.

2015 LSU
Score: 31-14
Overview: Coming off a devastating loss to Alabama in which their hopes of an SEC and National Championship were dashed, LSU was looking for blood and had the Hogs right where they wanted them in a night game in Death Valley. However, the Hogs jumped out to a 21-0 lead and never looked back, thus marking the beginning of the end for Les Miles in Baton Rouge.

2016 TCU
Score: 41-38
Overview: Like Ole Miss the previous year, another inexplicable OT road win sealed by an Allen keeper to the right side. The Hogs jumped out to a 13-0 halftime lead on the Horned Frogs thanks to stellar defensive play, though TCU came storming back in the second half to take a late lead. Arkansas tied the game late thanks to a TD reception by Keon Hatcher, and the a 2 point conversion pass to Austin Allen. TCU proceeded to drive down into field goal range for the winning kick, which was promptly blocked by Dan Skipper to send it to OT.

2016 Florida
Score: 31-10
Overview: After getting thrashed by Auburn two weeks prior and coming off a bye week, the Hogs destroyed the #10 Gators for their first win over Florida since joining the SEC. Arkansas jumped out to a quick 7-0 lead via a pick 6 by Santos Ramirez on Florida’s first drive and never looked back.

Nice write up. Not my favorite game, but favorite uniform addition during his era had to be the Liberty Bowl helmets.

edit: Actually, the '64 throwbacks were tops.

Given the misery of the last few years, particularly this year, its hard sometimes to remember we did have some really fun games over the last five years.

If those great games weren't counter balanced by some of the most one sided beatings I've ever seen Arkansas take in football I'd be looking back on Bielema's tenure with more fondness.

Ok, I'll say it. This upcoming game vs Mizzou. Will be his last, and definitely my favorite, game coaching at Arkansas.

I grew up during the SWC era, when the Texas game was THE game circled on your calendar. More often than not, they beat us. I very well remember the Game of the Century back in '69, and how pissed I was as an 11 year old when they came back to beat us.

Just due to nostalgia and history, any win over the University of Texas just means a little more to me.

2015 Ole Miss. The most intense game of Arkansas football that I can remember.

Runner up is 2014 LSU for getting to rush the field

That 2015 LSU game was fun. Ole Miss was the most entertaining.

You didn't include the 4OT win over Auburn? That one was insane.

Thought about that after posting and thinking about adding that one in.

Only thing is that that game was sort of a mess. We led the entire game and they came storming back in the second half (shocking!) to force OT, wherein we ended up pulling out a win.

It was basically one of the Jerry World A&M OT games except we actually won.

The sailing after that 2015 LSU game was tremendous.

They almost expected to lose in 2014, but 2015 was the year. They were convincing themselves they still had a shot at the playoff, Fournette was still barely in the Heisman race, and they just needed to right the ship against lil Arkiesaw, which was inevitable because it was a night game in Death Valley and they never lose those amirite.

Then Bert ate.

You'll never get an LSU fan to admit they almost expect to lose to Arkansas. Especially when they're ranked and we lost the last 17 SEC games in a row. The 17–0 win was a gigantic upset.

It was an upset from a rankings and record standpoint, but we were favored going into that game.

Hog fans got a bit of a surprise this week when the Vegas line debuted at Arkansas -1, and then quickly rode up to 2.5, meaning the Hogs are favored in an SEC game for the first time this season.

I'm torn between the ole miss games. 30 to nothing then 4th and 25 were big deals at the time. member when we thought we would field an elite defense all the time?
