Who is the guy on the current roster? Not necessarily in 2017, but all players on the current roster included.

Well the only guys who win the Heisman are QBs or RBs

I think both our QBs can put up Heisman type numbers at some point. If Hurts continues his improvement he'll have tons of opportunity next season.

I think D. Harris would be discussed if he got 25 carries a game, but I'm glad he doesn't have to do that.

Not really. Hurts is really conservative in the passing game. If he were in a true dual threat offensive game plan maybe next year. He will throw it away and punt instead of forcing it in to a window. I think saban is ok with that. He has been spectacular in spurts when we really need it, but does not like to risk a turnover. Sometimes to his detriment.

The running backs have played as a committee this year. A couple of standout performances, but not a seasons worth by anyone. Some of the defensive efforts vs Alabama have been putrid so there were some numbers put up at times.

The receivers have been electrifying at times, and pedestrian at others. A lot of drops vs LSU.

The best player on the team is out with a broken patella. That was proven this past week.

Only if they just give it to a player because they want a Bama player. There isn't anyone great this year. This is a year they give it to a nobody.

If Damien got 7-8 more carries a game it’d be him, just because he’d looking at 1600 yards on 190 carries with 16-18 TD’s through this point of the season. But, alas, he doesn’t have to play that much. Same goes for Jalen.

Calvin is another player who is Heisman talented, just not getting the ball enough.

Hurts next year and senior year is possible but not likely.

Josh Jacobs unless he splits most of his carries with N Harris and Robinson.

Najee as a junior.

Tua

Ruggs outside possibility considering he will be in Bama return game.

Najee Harris is a guy I could see progressing into a Heisman candidate. Give him more touches and experience next year. Make him the primary back his Junior year, and thats the year I could see him winning if he's anything like he was coming out of HS. He had one of the best RB highlight films Ive seen in recent years. Only two others I watched that were better or comparative, and thats Leonard Fornette, and Derrick Henry.

I’ll bite - who is the player at AU that you want to make sure we know is a legit Heisman candidate?

Najee Harris in the future with a less crowded backfield and Hurts or Tua could possibly develop into one.

Damien Harrison with 200 carries would be creating a huge buzz. Probably around 1600 yards and about 18 - 20 + TD's

I will add that he possibly could have reached the 2k with 25 TD range to finish the season. He's pretty damn good.
