State Fans turning on Stingray for Tosh.O

For a fan base that loves to claim the "family" title, they sure do turn on one of their own fast.
But not all bulldog fans are assholes
This has all stemmed from an episode of Tosh.O where he poked fun at himself and the rest of the SEC. He is all that is good with fandom. He loves his team and doesn't apologize for it. "Family" my arse. Meanwhile, State has a player on the team that is a woman beating piece of shite and they love him dearly.
That speed is undeniable though.

I read through most of that thread on Twitter. Amazing to me that Mississippi State fans and alumni have the gall to pretend they’re better than anyone.

I know that this is going to be completely shocking, but Mississippi State and Ole Miss has one thing in common with schools like Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt.
We just don't have many sidewalk fans. Ole Miss fans will agree with me - the trash fans in Mississippi are generally Alabama fans, with a few LSU fans sprinkled in.
Sure, there are some outliers, but the majority of State and Ole Miss fans are khakis and polo types that have some sort of affiliation with the school. The mediocrity and suckage just does not attract the sidewalk fan.
There's a running joke that MSU has two sidewalk fans. They just happen to be Stingray and Candy Man.

Personally I have more respect for Stingray after watching Tosh.O I thought he was a retard but he is just a normal guy! Whatever normal means now a days

I just watched the sketch and that was probably the least Tosh has ever made fun of anyone on his web redemptions. Not sure why State fans would feel offended

I don't think anyone is offended. I personally don't care for his schtick. He wants to be MSU's Phyllis or Cowboy. I don't like Phyllis or Cowboy either.

Stingray is harmless and isn't a raging lunatic like most of Finebaum's characters
