My boss, who is one of the best people on this earth, went to tiny Division III Millsaps.

There is life outside of Tuscaloosa.

Sounds like you’ve spent your entire life in the state of Mississippi. You should expand your horizons, Professor.

If you're gonna talk shite about academics, your reading comprehension better be 100.

I like him. I wouldn't have a problem with him if he was an Alabama fan. I don't watch Finespun, but I know who that Phyliss lady is and I'm up for a trade.

Assuming his post is true, he’s spent approximately 2 years of his 40-50+ year life outside of Mississippi. I’d say my comprehension was pretty strong.

The smartest professor I ever had was my freshmen English Professor at the Citadel. He graduated from the Citadel in 1950 an was promptly shipped off to Korea to fight in the Korean War as an infantry Lieutenant.

He was shot up so badly during an engagement they though he was dead and threw him on a truck full of dead bodies. Someone just happened to see him move and they pulled him off and got him patched up. He spent about 6 months on a hospital ship before they could ship him back to the States. He spent the next year or two in Walter Reed learning to walk (and everything else) again. He earned a Masters from Duke in Shakespearean literature from his hospital bed at Walter Reed.

He was a 4 sport Letterman at the Citadel (Football, Basketball, Baseball and Track (you could do that in the 1950s)). He once told us in class that while in the hospital he knew he'd be lucky to walk again, much less run again. So he threw himself into reading. He was THE most well read person I have ever met. And unbelievably tough (both physically and academically).

RIP Col. Alexander.

So you didn't read my earlier post in this thread where I stated I grew up right outside Tuscaloosa.

You are a piece of shite. And a perfect reason why people hate Alabama fans.

What if Stingray is just an elaborate troll attempt by Bama?

That would be the greatest troll in recent history.

mean it could be worse... Our boosters could be entangled in frivolous lawsuits against at player's parent/guardian wannabe that said boosters paid to move them to oxford

Or your boosters could have contacted the media 7 years ago today and accused a former recruit of getting paid $180,000 to go to a different program because they were jealous of his and other said program's success. Good thing state is above that

reporting violations to the NCAA is very important to the integrity of college football. i'm fairly certain you don't understand this.

I didn't say anything about self reporting violations (but leaving out the details that would incriminate yourself) wasn't important. We are talking about calling the media because you want it public because the other team is winning with a player that you really wanted

Alabama and Auburn would be the same way if the feds tied a millstone to their necks like they did MSU and Ole Miss, and you know it.

I dont think so. Auburn attracts a considerable draw from Georgia because of proximity to Atlanta. Bama gives out a TON of academic scholarship money. (waaay more than Auburn). Both attact significant out of state students and tuition as a result.

You remind me of a family member I have.

I have a mechanical engineering and aerospace engineering degree from State. I work in the rocket engine industry.

She did not go to college at all, but has been to Tuscaloosa maybe 5 times in her life (all for football games). Wal Mart T-shirts, license plate, stickers on car, the whole 9 yards. She still lives is the run down POS town we grew up in. Barely works at all.

Whenever y'all beat us, she likes to make fun of me for going to State because she is an Alabama fan.

Updyke, the teabagger, and people like this chick are what come to mind when most people think of Alabama.
