Well we at least know that if we make it to the SECCG we'll be getting Sabans best. Nothing like preaching "disrespect" for a month to your team to get them riled up.

I wouldn't call it disrespect. Our big OOC opponent for the season was supposed to really bolster our strength of schedule, but losing Francois absolutely crushed their season.
If he hadn't gotten hurt I could see them being in the same situation as Notre Dame right now. Maybe not at #3, but without a loss to anyone else.
Now, having said that, we are about to embark on a pretty tough month of November against 3 teams ranked in the Top 19. That should at least help our SoS to some degree, assuming we win them all.

The great thing about this poll is it shows the committee values head-head more than anything else when records are even (evidenced by Oklahoma being ahead of OSU). My interpretation of this is that as long as we finish the season undefeated or even with one loss in a close game at Auburn OR that lone loss being to Bama, we will remain ahead of ND if they win out.

Not so fast. If ND finishes with 5 wins over ranked opponents and we have 2 or 3, I don't know if the head to head will still pull weight.
They are rewarding challenging wins. Notre dame is helping us a ton right now. But that is because notre dame is stacking up challenging wins.

I hear you and don’t disagree but if we both have one loss (assuming it’s a close loss to Auburn or Bama) then the metric I believe they will go by is head-head. Yes, ND may have a couple more quality wins, but frankly that doesn’t matter when the 2 teams actually played each other and we know the result, which is that UGA is the superior team.

We shall see.
The focus is pushing teams to schedule tougher (not head to head).

Fwiw, if we lose to auburn but beat Bama in the seccg, that is a pretty big win and we stay above ND.
If we lose to Bama and finish with 2 top 25 wins, then I wouldn't be shocked if we get jumped by ND (assuming ND has 5 top 25 wins).

ND WILL be the top 1 loss team. The only good news is we need to be kept propped up to validate them.

I disagree, but they certainly wouldn't be 2-5. Their OL hasn't blocked anybody yet this year though.
The rankings don't really matter though. At the end of the day, we still have to beat Alabama to get in.

FWIW-Uncle Lou nailed the exact order of the top 4 in the CFP in his video this morning. He’s a mad genius.

Just keep winning and we are fine. Finish in the top four. Win two games after that. That should be the focus. Keep fighting. Keep winning the next game. The rest will take care of itself.

Every time Bama straps it up you are getting Saban's best.
