Has anyone seen the racist letter sent to Sumlin and is it real?

I haven’t kept up with this story, but last night the announcers in the A&M vs MSU game claimed that Sumlin received a letter with racial epithets from an Aggie fan along with critical comments from the AD and a member of the board of regents. Has this racist letter been confirmed? The announcers were strongly criticizing the administration and the fan base for their treatment of a minority coach.

It is assumed that the alleged racist letter was sent by a Texas Longhorn fan trying to make the A&M fan base look bad. Or the letter was fabricated by the Sumlin family. Me myself, I'm not sure what to believe at this point in time.

Strange that it received so much air time last night without any background on proof of source. They made TAMU look like a bunch of fringe racists. If you are going to level those kinds of charges in today’s climate, I’d think you had better have some unimpeachable evidence.

The only thing we can be sure of is that they received the letter. Who sent it? I have no idea. But whoever sent it, they are an idiot.
