Has Arkansas ever had this many NFL players contributing at one time?

#15 taking over, showing off the family arm, getting choked out but Suh.
Collins looking ridiculous, 30 lbs lighter and fast as hell. Getting dicked on TDs but those will come after Allen's fumble. BODY BY HERB.
Wise, Flowers, Philon, Spaight all starting.
Henry is a top 5 TE who's value is only going up.
We had Andrews and Peters forever but that's really about it. Never this many skill players and the most games we won with any of these players was 8. Utterly pathetic.

Collins looked great last night. Pretty cool to see QB RB exchange between two iconic Hogs.

Romo loves him too.
I almost couldn't recognize him because his dreads are so long over the jersey and he looks so trim. He looks 2-3 steps quicker and was just shaking guys off left and right.
Seattle is DUMB. Hope he lands somewhere with a good line where they really feed him. Going to lose a lot of carries when West and Woodhead get back.

I think I read that he's down to 203 and that's why he's looking so fast.
God, to think I used to be all on the Body by Herb train.

He needs to hold onto the ball. His vision is outstanding.

Some of the best I ever seen since Emmitt Smith

Don't forget about AJ Derby.

Has been fine the last 2-3 games.
Buck Allen fumbled on the goal line last night and they got lucky.

Watching Collins run away from people in the NFL is infuriating for me. Not that I don't wish Collins the best of luck and a great career, I do. Its that the one knock against Collins for his time here was that he didn't have great speed.
Now that he has ditched the Body by Herb build we forced him into he is running away from NFL players. How dangerous would he have been if he had played at 205 for us? Its depressing as hell to think about what he could have done if our coaching staff hadn't bulked him up.

Ridiculous. Makes me more depressed how much talent we've squandered.

Herb is unequivocally the worst S&C coach in the SEC.
He and Bert thought we played in the Big Ten West and that they had to beef up Collins for durability and thus sacrificing his speed in the process.
Herb is a fricking idiot. The next S&C coach will have a hell of a job on his hands undoing this mess of a strength and conditioning program.

Its a big reason why I am not expecting that much from our new coach next year. It will probably take a year to undo the bad habits and poor conditioning our players are in.

What I don't understand is how we can have a coach who is so good at getting players to the next level, who also can't win football games here. I heard that Bellichick was asked why he drafted so many Razorback players and he said because he knows that Bielema coaches them correctly. That he knows what he is getting from a Bielema player and he likes it.
It seems hard to square that with the idea that our S&C program sucks.
I honestly think this dude would be winning games if he could just get his offensive line issues straightened out. He has talent all over the place. He coaches well. He just can't keep his QB from getting his dick knocked in the dirt every other play. He should have already fired Anderson.

maybe if bert had changed S&C coach before now he would have done better here and still be our coach next year
worst case scenario, if bert is still next here next year, herb sure as hell better not be here

Not when you have e those dudes running hills sprints every single day of off season training. I guarantee you, every single player on the roster will be 10-15 lbs lighter than they are now entering next season.
Herb is the most atrocious thing to ever happen to the program during ten Bert tenure... I'm convinced of it.... Well that and Pittman skipping town.

I agree Herb is not very good. I remember when Jason Veltkamp was here under Petrino, and I really liked his philosophy. It wasn't just about weightroom numbers. The weightroom is a tool to help your athletes perform on the field. I suppose that's why Veltkamp is now the strength coach for the Browns.
I think Herb is obsessed with weightroom numbers (or at least it seems so from his numbers). He's willing to sacrifice a lot to put a few pounds on a guy or to get his weightroom numbers up, but that may not translate to a better player on the field.

I've been of the opinion for a while, and have said as much on here, that Bert should have fired Herb after last season when it was painfully obvious that our conditioning was piss poor and quite literally costing us games via second half comeaparts.
Also, when your S&C coach admits after year 4 (!) that he finally realizes that speed and conditioning are key to competing in the SEC and that he's going to have to overhaul his S&C program, you're in deep shite and it's time to make a change.

Pure speculation but with Pittman being so highly regarded I wonder if it's led to us not being able to fill that role. The Anderson hire was odd from the start and definitely hasn't worked out.

If they make that decision (highly doubtful) then somebody better make the call very soon so we can go ahead and shitcan both S&C coach and o-line coach now.
Hiring two new coaches, especially those coaches, is a big deal. You need as much time as you can get to get the guys up to snuff. Starting next year with two new ones isn't gonna make much difference in the short term.

Keeping Bert on one more year with new OL and S&C coaches (and likely a new OC) would be the epitome of lame duck, and it'd be the worst decision we could make.
It's tantamount to proclaiming that you're not going to divorce your wife (yet), but you are moving out, taking off your wedding ring, and that you two can see other people. At that point just get it the frick over with.
