Alabama: 2016
Arkansas: Never
Auburn: 2013
Florida: 2009
Georgia: 2012
Kentucky: Never
LSU: 2011
Mississippi State: Never
Ole Miss: Never
Mizzou: 2013
South Carolina: Never
Tennessee: 1998
Texas A&M: 1992
Vanderbilt: Never

Comon, Arkansas, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, South Carolina, and Vanderbilt. NEVER?

We should institute relegation in this league not necessarily based on one season, but over time, let the UCFs and Clemsons of the world give the SEC a shot, you guys are just wasting spots in this premier league.

Until 2006, you basically couldn't lose more than 1 game and win 12 games. Prior to 1970, it was not possible, as there were no conference championship games and teams played 10 game regular seasons.

Which is why winning percentage is a much fairer way to compare eras.

Take Ole Miss for example and this 4 year run:
1959: 10-1, won the Sugar Bowl
1960: 10-0-1, conference champs, won the Sugar Bowl
1961: 9-2, lost the Cotton Bowl
1962: 10-0, conference champs, won the Sugar Bowl

I won't get into their national title claims for '59, '60 and '62.

Just making the point that was a damn fine run for Ole Miss. You could expand it out to 1954 to 1963 and you'd have 5 conference titles total and eight 9 or 10 win seasons during a time when they played at most 10 or 11 games.

But according to the OP, they've never, for even one season, experienced the same level of success as Florida.

If you built a super conference with nothing but top-tier programs, nobody would win 12 games in a season. The weaker programs historically have been padding ya'lls records for years, and this is how you thank us?

I guess when the outlook is that bleak, you have to look to the past huh?

Those "national title" claims are the same thing Bama does claiming their's.

There were also like 10 polls out back then, and if you happened to be #1 in the DumbassFootballWriters Poll sponsored by the FootballWritersWhoSuck, then you can claim the "mythical national championship."

Every conference needs their "Jobbers"...The SEC is no different. The only thing is the same programs are just riding the money train and are happy to have sorry-arse football programs every year as long as they can Chant SEC SEC

Every damn time. If Alabama claimed as many as some of you suggest, there would be a hell of a lot more than 16 being claimed.

Hell, if Bama were to claim those, we would need a "Got 29" t-shirt.

28 Total Major College National Championship Year(s) (before 2015 that makes 29)

Imagine how much people will bitch about the lack of parity if the SEC goes through a 30 year stretch where two programs combine to win the conference 25 times. That is what has happened in La Liga over the last 30 years. Or what about one team winning the SEC 13 times over a 19 year stretch? That's the Bundesliga. And people complain about Alabama's dominance. The lack of parity in European soccer leagues makes what's happening in the SEC seem like child's play.

"Never" is a bit misleading. Before '92 most teams (all?) only played 12 games including a bowl, and in the 60's most played only 11 including bowl games.

Bless your little aggie heart. Did your apologia make you feel better? Have some orange slices.
