UMass at Mississippi State, Noon ET/11 am CT on SEC Network
Auburn at Texas A&M, Noon ET/11 am CT on ESPN
Florida at Missouri, Noon ET/11 am CT on ESPN2
Western Kentucky at Vanderbilt, Noon ET/11 am CT on ESPNU
South Carolina at Georgia, 3:30 pm ET/2:30 pm CT on CBS
Ole Miss at Kentucky, 4 pm ET/3 pm CT on SEC Network
Coastal Carolina at Arkansas, 4 pm ET/3 pm CT on SEC Network Alternate
Southern Miss at Tennessee, 7:30 pm ET/6:30 pm CT on SEC Network
LSU at Alabama, 8 pm ET/7 pm CT on CBS
Best game of the week and they stick us at 11am? I'll be hunting that day (opening day of deer season) so 11am actually works out pretty well as I will come in around 10:30 and go back out around 3. But this should honestly be the 2:30 CBS game. At the very least a night game. Guess we've had too many of those lately.

they are just factoring in the sumlin special happening this week

ESPN/2 (and maybe U) are contractually not allowed to go against CBS games. Thus, the first two picks this week after CBS were the ESPN and ESPN2 games at 11am.

I always just assumed the 6 pm games were the picks after the cbs game

Normally but this is one of the two weekends where CBS has two games.
ESPN isn't going to run the best SEC game they have access to that weekend against a CBS night game and they weren't going to double up on A&M/Auburn and Georgia/USCe at 11am.
Auburn at Texas A&M – Noon, ESPN
WKU at Vanderbilt – Noon, ESPNU
Florida at Missouri – Noon, ESPN2
UMass at Mississippi State – Noon, SECN
South Carolina at Georgia – 3:30pm, CBS
Ole Miss at Kentucky – 4pm, SECN
Coastal Carolina at Arkansas – 4pm, SECN Alt.
Southern Miss at Tennessee – 7:30pm, SECN
LSU at Alabama – 8pm, CBS
If Auburn doesn't shite the bed against LSU we are the CBS night game and Alabama/LSU is the ESPN 11am game.

This actually works out great for me.
We got 3 SEC night home games. It's a good season.

And 4 SEC night games in a row when you include Florida

A&M v Ole Miss will probably be a 2:30. Considering every game on that day is garbage.
11/18 - TBD Mercer (1) Alabama
11/18 - TBD Kentucky (3) Georgia
11/18 - TBD UL Monroe (19) Auburn
11/18 - TBD (23) LSU Tennessee
11/18 - TBD Miss St Arkansas
11/18 - TBD UAB Florida
11/18 - TBD Texas A&M Ole Miss
11/18 - TBD Wofford South Carolina
11/18 - TBD Missouri Vanderbilt
Other options would be LSU v Tennessee or Miss St v Arkansas

I think CBS has to pick the primetime game before the season starts, so at Best we could have gotten the afternoon slot.

UGA and Alabama are going to get first pick. 11AM is actually the third pick that week, and at least we aren't on at the same time as UGA, and Bama.

They pick the weekend, but they are not required to pick the exact game, though several years now they've done so. They had not picked a prime time game this year til today.

They've reserved the LSU/Alabama game for prime time since 2011. Only one of those games has been a blowout since.
Posted on 10/23/17 at 6:01 pm to AggieDub14
We are the 3rd biggest game and they don't want our ratings overlapping with Georgia at 2:30 and Bama at 6:30
It's sucks for us but makes sense

This is correct. Even though they don’t have to pick which game it is until the week or two before, they pretty much set it up to do Bama and LSU every year. As CGSC says it’s been close most years and a smart choice, even if I’m becoming annoyed by it and wish they would choose a different one. If LSU has totally fallen apart and lost to Auburn like they should have and Florida, CBS might have chose a different game this year.....
