I plan on making my 10th straight LSU-Ole Miss game this Saturday. If there's anything I have learned from the previous 9 LSU-OM games, it's that I should prepare myself for some crazy shite to happen. I have seen some horrible Ole Miss teams give LSU absolute fits and vice versa.
Yes, I still think the shrimp boat captain is a joke, but he does deserve a little bit of credit. LSU played 26 freshmen this past saturday and beat a really good Auburn team. we also showed some serious grit on the road in the swamp two weeks ago.
LSU's defense is starting to come along nicely now that we're getting healthy on the line. Key is finally playing at least somewhat like his old self, though still rusty.
The offense finally seems to be coming around, and we're playing 3 freshmen OL at times in big games. it'll be a nice long term investment with these growing pains. needless to say I think Danny Etling will probably be decapitated on national television when LSU goes to Alabama in a month.
thoughts? I'm kind of thinking 38-28, LSU. I admit that I was a little surprised Ole Miss showed life this past Saturday against Vandy. I just thought the rebs would mail it in after that Alabama game, but that doesn't appear to be the case

I agree. I don’t think OM has quit at all. We are still iffy on defense and the offense can be very much feast or famine, but if the O is hitting on all cylinders they can be very good.

No way it's that close

Which LSU team shows up? The 1st half of Auburn or the 2nd? Can't wait to watch Patterson run around though.

At a quick glance I read it as "Mongolia Bowl".
This is my favorite game of the year but not a fan of naming it a "Bowl".
LSU should win by 10 points. I don't see OM being able to stop Guice/Williams. If Etling has to pass on 3rd downs that will play into our favor as he does not appear to be an accurate qb.

Somewhat OT but VHS carries no home field advantage. After watching AU-LSU Saturday I know we are sub par *at best* when it comes to crowd noise.

I don't like this matchup. I think LSU is going to run it down our throats, and we won't be able to stop it. The only hope I have is that our offense keeps us in the game. I expect a high scoring game. Like 45-35 LSU.

I know that LSU just beat Auburn in comeback fashion, but we can't just forget that they lost to Troy at home 2 weekends ago. LSU is a very hot and cold team, and with the game being at night in Oxford, the team and the fans will be very hyped up.
Shea gets hit a few times, but we are able to run the ball well with the somehow revamped running game that we have. Guice and co. run for 3ish touchdowns, Etling throws 1 more, but our defense comes up with a turnover and a few stops.
AJ receives a lot of attention on the outside from Battle and Andraez, leaving DK, Lodge, VJ, and the rest to feast on the rest of the LSU secondary. Shea throws for 300 and 3 touchdowns, Wilkins adds one out of the backfield and 80 rushing yards.
The rebz, with confidence growing after a much needed win against Vanderbilt last week, win 34-31 on a game winning field goal.
